Civilization: A New Dawn

Description from the publisher:

Sid Meier's Civilization: A New Dawn is a strategy board game in which two to four players act as the rulers of history's most memorable empires. Over the course of the game, players will expand their domains, gain new technologies, and build many of humanity's greatest wonders. In the end, one nation will rise above all others to leave its indelible mark upon history.

This new game presents players with an undiscovered country to conquer, built from beautifully illustrated map tiles. These would-be conquerors construct and populate the map with barbarians, natural resources, and city-states, then formulate their plans for how they will shape this world to their vision. Their exact goals, however, change with each game. Agendas are detailed on victory cards, three of which are drawn during set up. Players race to become the first to accomplish one agenda on each of these victory cards, spreading throughout the world and ensuring their civilization’s place as the greatest world power.

The board is setup for 4 players on a pregenerated world found in the rulebook. To play with three players, delete tiles 8, 11, and 12. To play with two players, delete tiles 1, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16.

Several of the tiles are in states. State 2 is considered the back of the tile. On the left side of the table you will find quick rules found on BGG from MkaY and karkador. On the right side of the table you will find extra componenents for a modular game. Modular rules are found in the back of the rulebook.

Nice mod, but the custom cities and caravan models aren't loading anymore. Might be able to move them onto the Steam zone!

right now, it seems difficult to properly set-up a solo game, if not impossible.

on the edge of the table opposite to the rules references, there are 2 buttons - the yellow one is labelled to pick the first player.

Our group can't seem to get the turn order to work correctly. It's not clear how you select the first player and I can't modify the turn order without the scripting overriding it. Any suggestions?

Hi Nonprophet! I'm happy you used us a base for learning this! that is fantastic! Yeah, i've got to play the TI mod already and I was super happy with it (maybe because i won in part? lol). I look forward to seeing it with the rescanned models. I will certainly take you up on the offer to play with you guys on some Tuesday (D&D Wednesdays). Having some fun is the correct approach for sure. See you guys soon. - John

Anyways, if anybody wants to play a round, my group plays on Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 730 EST. John, if you're ever free and wanna play a round, it would be an absolute honor. Anybody else just looking for a round, hit me up. We usually have at least 1 slot free. Just uh. Heads up, we try not to get too competitive about it. Just having some fun, yanno?
