Description
Mesa Verde is a large Pueblo settlement located in the modern American state of Colorado. It is most famous for the Cliff Palace, the largest known cliff dwelling in North America, but there are several more buildings within the area, including resevoirs and defensive towers. Mesa Verde was most active during the 12th century, before overpopulation and climate change led to a quick decline a century later. The site was declared a natural park by US President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 to, in his words, 'Preserve the works of man'. Ingame, Mesa Verde provides +1 food from desert tiles, and +50% Great Person generation in the city in which it is built, while it must be built in a city on or next to a desert and requires Trapping.

Requires either expansion pack in order to function correctly, and credit to co-author Janboruta for the icon (and Sukritact for fixing the scale)

Either I have a bug or another mod is canabilizing the effects....for some reason both this mod and the Petra are not providing food on deserts. All other effects that give stuff to deserts seem to work fine though.

I dig this wonder but I thought the art was a bit lackluster. I found a good one you may prefer:

Having this and petra at the same time while playing as morocco with lots of desert hills -> good game.

Does the one that provides culture (The Mada'In Saleh, I believe) follow that same code? Because as I said it provides for everywhere too :]

It uses exactly the same code as Petra, so I see no reason it should work differently

Well it extended across my whole empire, and I'm not complaining :D It probably doesn't 'specify' in the code. Certainly doesn't in the description. But no, it doesn't work like the Petra, at least in the two games where I've used it. Neither does that other one of yours that slaps culture on desert tiles too. Don't remember which one it is. Honestly I think my idea would be a really good upgrade >.>

I think you're mistaken - Mesa Verde should only provide food from deserts in the city it's built in, not everywhere. And if it does provide it everywhere, I should find out how I did that
