The Arena

Description
These maps can be used in multiplayer since BNW's release. It is much easier to use custom maps in multiplayer now. All you have to do is go find the folder for the map after you have subscribed to it here. Copy paste the map's folder from my docs/games/civ 5/mods into the maps folder you will see next to the mods folder there. All the human players in your game must do this. Sounds a little inconvenient but it is way easier than what we had to do before BNW.

Supports 6 civs and 12 city states.

Same dimensions and basic layout as my Citadels map, except this time you are landlocked and surrounded by mountains. There is no escape! Only one will come out of The Arena alive.

As you will see in a couple of the pictures I am about to gift a bunch more units to the city state Singapore. Next picture is a few turns later after Singapore captured several enemy towns for me. I disabled city razing when I started the game so now Singapore is stuck with those towns. You can field a huge army this way. Note the circular pattern of the city state placements, and just think of all the map control.

Other benefits to this strategy are...
1. You do not have to give all these units commands every turn.
2, You do not have to pay any upkeep on this huge force.
3. You even get the resource that it took to make the unit back.

This effectively allows you to keep cranking out any type of unit you want over and over again. Simply keep gifting them away. This is just one of many fun ways to play this map.

As usual, the civfanatics link for you Mac users to get the map is here[forums.civfanatics.com].

Is there any way to force or encourage city-states to keep conquered cities without disabling city razing for players and AI Civs? I have been looking for a mod that encourages building up a city state ally much like in your screenshots, but cannot find anything
