Description
Insurgent offensive in the southern front:
The AAF campaign on the northern front begins with a good start, three days ago the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade expelled the insurgent forces from the Abdera valley, forced to retreat northwards to the town of Oreokastro, thus cutting supply route to Athira. Meanwhile, in the west, a rebel counter-offensive in response to the heavy blow of the loss of Abdera has driven back several units of the Army Reserve and insurgents have captured the town of Zaros, just a few kilometers east of Kavala. The government forces of the 23rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, "Centaur" company, are now planning a combined attack by infantry and armored forces to retake control of the town with the help of elements of the 2nd Motorized Infantry Brigade, "Lióntari" company.

Operation instructions:
As it was said in the report, the southern town of Zaros has been taken by rebel forces and has made some reservists fall back to the north. Our task is to take back the town and make a big impact on the insurgency's morale. We will make a coordinated attack with elements of the 2nd Motorized Infantry Brigade. You will lead the spearhead of the operation. Your platoon is codenamed Javelin 1, and you will be in command of Javelin 2 and 3, and of Hammer 1, 2 and 3, which are the armored vehicles that will support the infantry. Once you are in the battlefield, you'll be in charge. Reconnaissance units also located a light artillery position, maybe 82mm mortars, that can be a serious threat to our positions. Take the hills that sorround the town, where the mortars place is. They have also reported that there are still some civilians who couldn't manage to escape the town, so watch your fire at any moment and identify your enemy.

Take the command in a combined arms attack to a town held by rebels in where there are still some civilians who couldn't escape the horrors of war. Experience the intensity and tension of the urban combat, supported by armored units and ally forces, fight street by street to take back the town from the rebels who desperately try to take the advantage in the Western front of the conflict.

This mission is pretty good, provided you have a methodical approach to fighting it. I really liked the BMP-3 units giving impressive firesupport and if you move them and their infantry around the right way, you can avoid almost all casualties while utterly crushing the enemy.

If you use the terrain to your advantage and command from the hill, you will be able to flank the enemy with your main squad while letting the AI take the frontal assault.

Only wish I could have managed to tell one of the BMPs to climb the hill with me. From that vantage point, he could have wrecked house with his 100mm and 30mm.

Pro tip: dump most grenades and smoke grenades and grab an RPG-7 off of a fallen enemy with all the anti-personnel rockets you can and go ham.

Good little mission. I had no errors at all, but I also didnt need to use any of the support units other than my own squad.

A few ideas:
1) The briefing takes pains to mention the presence of civilians. Although there were a few in the town, there really werent that many. Adding a lot more would help improve the atmosphere of being worried about civilian casualties.
2) Another idea with the civilians is to consider maybe putting in a few "civilians" that end up being OFPOR soldiers. It is a battle against an insurgent force after all.
3) The default loadouts for my team were bad. This happens across several of your scenarios, maybe just because you use the standard loadout? In any case, my guys are all loaded down with grenades and glowsticks they will never use, and at the same time have too little ammo. When I finally won, three of my squadmates were down to their pistols. So dump the random crap and give them some more magazines.

Very fun little urban battle.

I need help!
in the mission it says when I enter combat I will be given command over IFV's and more squds but I never got that option. I have killed every enemy in the objective I even activated zeus to make sure and all the enemies are dead and the mission will not end.

@DasTech5, it depends on how you play it. Anyways, I'll get the suggestion.

could play it at last but I found it boring; team too large (anyway they just die one after another); a bit messy

Hey ! I'm very interested in your three missions but when I try to launch them I got an error saying :

"steam\__cur_sp.Altis\mission/Entities/Item0/Entities/Item0.type: Vehicle class FNG_AAF_Inf_SectionLeader no longer exists"

Any idea ?

I really loved the mission but could it be possible to have binoculars since i always use them in every kind of mission. Also it's still too easy, the town was cleared just 2 minutes after i launched the assault, the only "tricky" place was the mortar hill (where i went with my squad) where a lot of ennemies regrouped (so they were not in the town anymore, that's probably why the mission ended that fast even if all of them were not dead). It's still a good mission that i enjoyed :)
