Otus (Owlboy)

Meet Otus, from Owlboy! He's crash landed into the world of Don't Starve and is on a journey to get back home.
Comes with custom sounds, art, and items!
Compatible with vanilla, RoG, and SW!

I made this mod so I could play the TRUE sequel to Owlboy... Don't Starve: Shipwrecked! or at least play something to fill the Owlboy shaped hole in my heart

Note: this mod is ideally played with all DLC enabled (or at least SW)... not all features are available otherwise!


Health: 130 | Hunger: 130 | Sanity: 175

Otus is mute, and he isn't much of a pantomime either. He cannot talk to the player or warn them if something is wrong.
Otus isn't very strong and only deals 75% damage per hit.
He moves faster on a full stomach and slower when hungry or starving. His speed ranges from 30% faster to 30% slower than Wilson's default speed.
He spawns with two starting items: the Teleporter Device and the Owl Cloak. He has access to several craftable items as well.


A teleporter made by the ancient owls. There is a large crack down the middle.
It can't teleport Otus's friends around anymore, but Otus can use it to teleport himself anywhere onscreen instead.
Teleporting doesn't agree with Otus and will drain sanity on use.


Otus's Owl Cloak. It's been torn up pretty badly from the fall.
No longer capable of flight. It increases movement speed by 15% when equipped.


A hat for the closest of bros.
Doesn't have any special abilities, but it makes Otus happy.
Dress Tab - Cut Grass x5 + Gold Nugget x1


For high flying adventurers only!
Increases map reveal range when equipped. (SW)
Big enough to keep your head dry. (SW/RoG)
Dress Tab - Straw Hat x1 + Gears x2


A knit cap for a bona fide spider.
Spiders won't attack when equipped, but other creatures may become aggressive instead! (SW/RoG)
Keeps your head warm and cozy.
Dress Tab- Silk x10 + Hound's Tooth x2


The mark of a true owl!
Increases speed by 35% and absorbs 95% of physical damage when equipped.
Continuously drains sanity while equipped and when damage is taken.
Upon breaking, an ordinary Owl Cloak will spawn in its place.
Magic Tab- Owl Cloak x1 + Silk x10 + Nightmare Fuel x5
-duplicate owlcloak/teleporter may spawn when going through teleporto
-headbase sprite sometimes reappears during idle animation when wearing hats (RoG only)
-for vanilla: monster tag doesn't work and spiders aggro when wearing woolen hat, gallant hat has no special abilities

Encounter any bugs not listed here? Let me know and I will do my best to fix them.
