Vanishing face sprite while sailing should now be fixed :) If there are any other messed up sprites from the Hamlet update, please let me know.

@WordByrd Thank you for your feedback! I'm assuming Hamlet changed the way that face sprites work, because every custom character I've looked at that used the extended sample character as a base is now missing eyes when sailing.

I'll look into a fix, but at the moment I'm not sure what was changed or what I need to do to fix it rip...

i saw this mod ages ago and thought it looked really cute, but because i didnt know the character and the game hes from at the time, i passed it up. recently, though, i played and LOVED Owlboy, and not long after finishing it, i thought to myself "i swear i saw an otus mod for dont starve!" and looked it up immediately- and now i can really appreciate just how wonderful this mod really is! i subscribed instantly, and have been enjoying playing my own shipwrecked Owlboy sequel


the only feedback i have to offer at this moment besides "WONDERFUL 10/10" would be that when sailing on a boat with a sail (where he holds out the tool hes holding and looks majestic), the left and right-facing sprites are missing eyes!

aside from that, i havent noticed any other issues. amazing job, and thanks for sharing this with your fellow owlboy fans!

@Sketch(TGL) Hey there! I started working on a DST port a loooong time ago but I ... have unfortunately lost most (if not all) interest in Don't Starve since then, and I don't have much motivation/time to work on a mod I wouldn't even use tbh
I wouldn't count it out just yet, but I can't promise it'll come out anytime soon ^^; Maybe when this game catches my interest again...?

He is a very beautiful character. Mechanic wise i think he is perfect, not over complicated like some of the other character mods. the artstyle matches the game nicely aswell. though it would be awesome if you could craft items that go in a base. like a house and decorations. i believe it would help him intergrate in the enviroment ever better. and it would also make the players home unigue from other characters.

@Sketch(TGL) there is no way to craft them, but you can spawn them through the console with "teleporter" and "owlcloak"!

hey quick question, is there any way to manually craft the teleporter and cloak? im using the REpick mod which lets you switch chars mid game, and when i switch to ole owly here, it doesnt spawn said items. Wondering if you can help me out.

@Alex's Workshop ish fruit will have the same properties as normal fruit/berries. they can be added to the croc pot to make ish tea, which restores a little bit of otus's sanity. glow fruit will make otus glow (like a glow berry or rainbow jellyfish) when eaten, but can't be made into ish fruit.
i've been too busy lately to work on this mod, but i would still like to implement these things one day.

I like playing as Otus, but how's the work on ish fruit going anyways?

@chuk does the game load properly when you have no other mods enabled besides otus? i'm not seeing anything that would cause a crash on my end.

@Ailothaen Otus should now work with vanilla! Had to drop some features unfortunately, but the bulk of it is still there.
I tested it long enough to make sure theres no crashes and stat modifiers are working properly, but please let me know if you run into any troubles!

This mod is great, I love the artwork, the creativity, and the adorable Otus. I really wish I could code so I could make awesome mods of my favorite characters, but still, I can't even say how much I've wanted more Otus!

我感觉我好像使用任何mod人物在跳地图或者重新读档时，地图都会消除之前的痕迹，就是除了自己在的地方别的地方都变黑了。求告知怎么解决。说实话这个mod人物确实挺好玩的。：）
