Romani Units Pack - AOR version

Description
Romani Units Pack - AOR version

Here is the information about the Romani Units Pack by Swiss Halberdier, DramaBelli and Cpt.Cortes.

This mod offers you a wide selection of detailed Romani units which are historically inspired by famous sources of great inspiration.

All units are playable in the campaigns and in the custom battle screen.

The Romani Units Pack is adapted to the normal vanilla game. We created 104 Romani units for the Western Roman Empire, Eastern Roman Empire and the Roman Expedition Forces.

There are also units included from the mod Renovatio Imperii[www.twcenter.net] created by DramaBelli and Cpt.Cortes.

Both versions feature the Attila Custom Battle Crash Fix[www.twcenter.net] by Swiss Halberdier.

The AOR version features the AOR (Area of recruitment) Mod[www.twcenter.net] system by Swiss Halberdier and Ahiga.

This mod is fully compatible with the AUM-ATT vanilla version.

The Romani Units Pack - Normal version on Steam is here:

Romani Units Pack - AOR Version

The AOR version is different in the case that it contains the special AOR (Area of Recruitment) recruitment system. The AOR version allows the player and the AI to recruit each unit almost in their historical recruitment region/province accordingly with the historical references adapted best possible due to the game limitations of the regions.

- In the AOR version all units are only recruitable in their specific AOR region if you built the required buildings
- It is needed to start a new campaign because of the startpos file campaign changes (WRE/ERE/The Last Roman)
- This AOR version is not compatible with other mods which change the important campaign files (startpos.esf) of the main campaign and "The Last Roman" DLC campaign. Big overhaul mods change these files.

There is also additional detailed information in the section FAQ (Frequently asked questions) about more aspects of the AOR version.

I made an extensive Romani Units Pack Excel Guide which covers even more information about the building requirements, fame level changes and it contains a complete overview of the AOR system and a tutorial how to customize the AOR. This Guide is available in the downloads section of my Total War Center thread and there is also a graphical overview of the AOR regions.

There are further informations here on Steam in these threads below

- In the section Units List is a list of all units.
- In the section FAQ (Frequently asked questions) are the answers to lots of frequently asked questions.
- In the section Changelogs are all detailed changelogs.

Recommendations

Create a backup of your save games before using unit packs. If you install an unit pack and then play a campaign, the IDs of the custom units stay in the save game. If you remove later an unit pack in your ongoing campaign, then the save game can't be loaded correctly if there are recruited custom units in the armies from you or the AI.

If the mod is once enabled, then it must be enabled always in the specific save games which you play with this mod. Otherwise it would crash. This is the normal behaviour of all unit pack mods.

The mod seems nice but I wonder if the replays will crash once this is installed and activated?

@Swiss Halberdier sweet. Thank you sir!

All units are already included in the Radious Mod. These version here is only if you don't use any other major overhaul mods like the Radious Mods.

@Swiss Halberdier where can I download the Radious Submod for the AOR version on the steamworkshop. Conducted a search for it and havent found it? Is it only available in the TW center website?

Yeah Assembly Kit was always a struggle for me. And hard to find bugs with it. Yes I know the creator Frodo which did and does a marvellous and awesome job with his Rusted Pack File Manager.

Thank you. Maybe I can figure it out in Assembly Kit. If you feel the itch to mod, Rust Pack File manager makes things twice as easy.

@LittleShepherd

Here are the three Radious AOR mods which I've created years ago.

http://www . mediafire. com/folder/cpk5bem2m61jf/Radious_Mods

Just remove the space after www. and mediafire. , because Steam blocks Mediafire links.

But otherwise I can't help you as I'm not anymore modding at the moment.

Basically I've built together with Ahiga a similar project like your years ago. But it isn't on Steam and can be used from any modder with credits.

You could use my startpos.esf file from the vanilla Romani units pack also in other adaptions.

I did all with PFM and only used Assembly Kit for Thrones of Britannia.
