United Mexican States (Vanilla)

Description
This mod adds Mexico to the game as a playable civilization (Vanilla). This mod does not contain 3D models.

BNW version: United Mexican States (BNW)
G-K version: United Mexican States (G-K)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leader: Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla

UA: +1 Culture from Specialists. 1 extra Artist Specialist slot from Temples, Opera Houses and Museums.

UB: Tianguis. The Tianguis replaces the Market. Extra effects: +2 Culture. +1 extra Gold.

UU: Fuerzas Especiales. Replaces the Infantry unit. +10% Combat Strength when adjacent to friendly units and +40% Combat Strength when attacking fortified units.

Strategy:
This civ is obviously culture based. Artist Specialist slots will grant you 4 Culture each if used and all other Specialist slots 1 Culture. You can choose to fill all these slots, especially the Artist slots since the recommended victory is a cultural victory. Also, you will spawn more Great Artists. Use them to build landmarks, further increasing cultural output. The Tianguis also boosts Culture by a fair amount. Assigning citizens to Specialist slots comes at a price, since no slots give you food and most tiles give better yields (other than Culture). Tradition and Piety policy trees are recommended.

Version Information:
V2 - Updated some art and added an extra Gold to the Tianguis.

Maybe. I'm mainly occupied with BNW civs nowadays. I usually design them for that expansion, which increases possibilities (in terms of design). If I want to convert them for the Vanilla version, I'd first have to find out whether my design can actually work for them. If not, I'd have to redesign it for vanilla. That's all extra work, and I'm not sure if there are many people out there waiting for Vanilla civs.

@Emperor Vega, Prince of stars Because I wanted more of a historical yet respected leader. There are, of course, other leaders, but I chose for Hidalgo.
