More Plate Stats Patch [OBSOLETE.. for now at least]

! IMPORTANT !

With the new armor rebalancing, this mod is currently obsolete. I am not going to touch this mod until the armor rebalancing phase is finalized, and if the armor rebalance is good at that point, I will not be updating this mod any further.





I made this mod, because the Plate jacket in the base game and plate pants from the More Plate mod had stats that didn't make sense, and were way too weak.


IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a patch and you still need to download the More Plate mod.

IMPORTANT!!!:
Put this mod UNDER More Plate in the mod load order.



The jacket and pants were both weaker than the Drifter's Jacket and Drifter's Pants... which are light armor.... Plus the plate armor is basically drifters armor, with metal plates attached on top, so it literally cannot become weaker....

I'm guess that the original stats were from a previous version, where they made sense, but since the mod hasn't updated in a while, I thought I'd share this mod I made and use for my own games.

I think they are fairly balanced, not over or under powered, but I would appreicate feedback on it.
Keep in mind that there actually are limitations/corks to what I can assign for stats in the FCS... It took a while to find the right combination to get these stats. Unfortunatley, it's not as easy as modifying the cut def or blunt def.



Thanks to the More Plate Mod author, Recatek for spending the time to make that mod, and do the meshes/textures etc... It takes a lot of time to make meshes and textures, so be sure to tell him/her thank you!

I'm back after a break from Kenshi. I'll be taking a close look at this mod to see and make changes as necessary.

Although this mod may be unecessary now. It is under review.

Until I stumbled on this mod I didn't realize the stats for the plate jacket were so bad. Woops.

New Update:

I am now done with fine-tuning the stats, and I am quite happy with the final results. I think you will find them fair and well-balanced, and offer more of an alternative rather than just being clearly better than other armor items that are currently in the game.

These will be the new stats for the foreseeable future, unless there are noteable armor balancing changes in a future update.

I wasn't being sarcastic... just playing around! No wirries man, I am actually thankful!

I'm just used to saying back-seat gaming award, cuz my favorite streamer, who I watch way too much, says it all the time, even has an emote for it.

Very not obvious. I don't want you to feel dumb, and I will happily erase my comments if you like. I just want modders with good ideas, to have the ideas mechanically sound >as best as I understand them< as well. It was real bad when the order in which you put the armor on was most important.... that was awful.

Just read the stun section on the armor stats explained post... Wow, that is very very not obvious, and either needs to be renamed, have a section in the help/tutorials menu in-game! Not a bad mechanic, I'm not saying replace it, but wow, calling it stun is very deceptive, if not plain wrong!

I've got over 200 hours in the game, and I never knew that! Boy, I feel dumb! I actually read up on armor, but I just skipped the stun section, cuz I thought it was obvious, but I guess I had it backwards!

I'll update it asap!
