WTM (WTM Teleporter Mod) v3.2 Light version

Description
Quick description : A mod to create a new Teleportation network, to teleport to other locations of the same world without reloading the whole map.

0. Notes, warnings, etc...

This mod is using HLib, a set of scripts that Hiran made to help mod devs. You can't use WTM 3.2 without it.

Current version of the mod : 3.2-light

This mod was tested for a long time, and shouldn't have any problem. If you find one, please contact me ASAP on forums, or on our discord server (link on the bottom)

1. Description

WTM Teleporter Mod (Recursive Acronym) is a mod which provides a new teleporting bookmark management system. It uses its own data storage format, and allows much more sorting functions than the Vanilla system.

It also provides objects with specific features, to help players to build an efficient teleporting network.

This is the light version of the mod, which doesn't provide the WarpBook, the Dispenser, the CECs and the ShapeShifting Teleporters. It can be used as a modpack requirement, while allowing players to use the main version.

COMPATIBILITY

YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH VERSIONS OF WTM INSTALLED AT THE SAME TIME ! You will have to choose one, and uninstall the other.

If you set the light version as a server requirement, players should be able to connect if they have the full version, but may crash if they attempt to use or place full version objects (Server, Dispenser, CEC, ShapeShiftingTeleporters).

Items :

- The DataCard : An item used to transfer datas between WTM objects
- The PassCards : A specific datacard which carries passwords you can use to auth on WTM objects, and lock them.
- The Beacon : A teleporter, able to store bookmarks, and teleport you to them
- The OWT (One-Way Teleporter) : A tiny teleporter which only stores one set of coordinates
- The Light-Beacon : A smaller version of the OWT, which allows to teleport monsters and NPCs
- The Server : A back-up tool, which can be used to transfer datas between players
- The WorkBench : The object you need to craft anything
- The Security Station : An object which allows you to remove the lock you set on several WTM objects
- The Configurator : A tool used to manipulate datacards, or to configure the OWT

2. F.A.Q.

- My game crashed because of this mod / The objects aren't answering / I got an error message in my logs

> Please contact me on the forums, or on my Discord server.

- What is HLib / Why is it needed ?

> HLib is a set of scripts written by Hiran to help mod devs (like me). As I'm using many of his functions, this is a requirement.

- Where are the crafts ?

> You need to craft a WTM Workbench at the Architect's Station. All the other objects can be crafted from this object.

- Why are there less objects in this version than in the main version ?

> Because this is the light version. Please use the main version if you want to use the other objects.

Many thanks to Hiran, for his help, since the beginning of this mod

Thanks to Sigma64 for his graphics (server / workbench) which I used to create some other objects (Import Tool, dispenser)

Special thanks to Xalibur, for his assets (Configurator) and to LeonTheLeon (Security Station and alternative skin for OWT)

Not at all! You can have both vanilla and WTM teleporters at the same time!

do they replace existing teleporters?

I didn't explain well, it's more because of maintenability.
The update process for this mod is a little bit harder (as I take the main mod, and remove some parts).
The message wasn't about removing it immediatly, I was asking if there were some active users using it...

good mentality, "some people are still using my mod better remove it from workshop". if you ask me if even 1 person uses a mod it is worth leaving it on, it's not like you have a max number of mods you can have on workshop.

If nobody is using this mod, I plan to remove it from the Workshop (currently less than 100 subscribers)...
If it happens, you can switch to the full version.

@Doctor Tee / Soblow Thank you very much for the info.

The only difference between this version and the full version is that you need a teleporter to teleport. The full version adds the warpbook, which can teleport you from anywhere without using any object.

To answer your question, both mods can teleport you to locations unavailable in normal gameplay, as long as you found a way to access it WITHOUT this mod. For example, to be able to teleport to the first boss room (as I did in the workshop presentation animation), I had to complete the whole boss once, and save the location of the boss room using a datacard, but I couldn't access it without going in it once at least.

@Doctor Tee / Soblow One more question, what version can make teleports to locations otherwise unavailable in normal gameplay (like boss rooms, challenge rooms, many kind of loot rooms)?

TL;DR
"teleporting from deep underground" is possible with both version of the mod.

If you think it can be an interesting mecanic, I can try to make a patch for my mod to disable teleporting from deep underground for static teleporters, and add an extra cost for the full mod version
