People of the Past

Description
It has been said that whole worlds could be written in a book. That enough detail could create an environment that could almost seem real. Many people before our time had mastered this, and done so in a way that the world could become real. The forgotten people of the past learned how to create entire worlds in books. These books would link you to the created world, known as an 'Age'. Certain Ages were created known as a Relto, a home specifically designed for the author. The art of that and the people who mastered it,however, have faded over the years.

Recently, a book was found in Riften, with strange writings and illustrations. After being told it had no value, it was tossed aside. The last person to see it, saw it near the Ratway.

Note from me:
It's been a long time guys, and I'm sorry. A lot has been happening, and has been continuing to make it difficult to continue on this mod. The good news is things have been dying down, and eventually I will be back to work here.

People of the Past created by RPGKampfer
Heavily inspired by the Myst series created by Cyan Worlds.

I have ported this over to Skyrim Anniversary edition. Seems to be running fine so far, and it is a magnificent start to something I hope gets finished. Hopefully there will be an movement to reach out to the author and encourage a revisit. I would be happy to lend my modding skills on something like this.

The internet and silver screen is a very very popular method for what you are describing, these days.

Saw the thumbnail in the corner of my eye... saw D'ni.
By the way, your D'ni is incorrect. You've literally typed it out, but the D'ni language is phonetic (and the font reflects that, I've got the font too), so you should type 'pEpl ov Te past' (case sensitive) Or, if you want it actually in D'ni, you want "rovtE re'kodo'ok," rovtee is the plural form of person, re is 'the,' kodo is the closest word to 'past,' and ok is the suffix which means 'of.'

cant find any linking books other than the one in riften. are there any. also if youre not going to finish this then maybe you could give it to a moder that you know and trust.

thank you so much, you have no idea how much this mod means to me! I'm a huge fan of Myst and its later 3d version RealMyst. I knew i could find a myst mod for skyrim!

@Kemperwolf ah, damn real life interfering with our vidya! Still, if you could find time to just add even the smallest of details, whether its a different spawn point, a sound effect when linking or even just grammar corrections would still keep the excitement flowing. Never the less, I know you shouldn't focus on skyrim mods with important stuff in your life happening so take as much time as necessary. Good luck mate.

@Nelkerak no, just too much stuff in life to continue this for a whlile

@Kampferwolf I'm sorry to hear that, this sounds like a very ambitious mod and its based on one of my favourite series but take your time if necessary. Also if its no worry, may I ask if there are more linking books or just the two chateu ages so far. I'm not asking for locations, just a simple yes or no.
