I have ported this over to Skyrim Anniversary edition. Seems to be running fine so far, and it is a magnificent start to something I hope gets finished. Hopefully there will be an movement to reach out to the author and encourage a revisit. I would be happy to lend my modding skills on something like this.

You've literally typed it out, but the D'ni language is phonetic (and the font reflects that, I've got the font too), so you should type 'pEpl ov Te past' (case sensitive) Or, if you want it actually in D'ni, you want "rovtE re'kodo'ok," rovtee is the plural form of person, re is 'the,' kodo is the closest word to 'past,' and ok is the suffix which means 'of.'

So... is there anyway to recover the book? I tried taking it home with me and it didn't work anymore... and i couldn't return it

cant find any linking books other than the one in riften. are there any. also if youre not going to finish this then maybe you could give it to a moder that you know and trust.

@Kemperwolf ah, damn real life interfering with our vidya! Still, if you could find time to just add even the smallest of details, whether its a different spawn point, a sound effect when linking or even just grammar corrections would still keep the excitement flowing. Never the less, I know you shouldn't focus on skyrim mods with important stuff in your life happening so take as much time as necessary. Good luck mate.

@Kampferwolf I'm sorry to hear that, this sounds like a very ambitious mod and its based on one of my favourite series but take your time if necessary. Also if its no worry, may I ask if there are more linking books or just the two chateu ages so far. I'm not asking for locations, just a simple yes or no.

@the_Doctorpwns - I wouldn't allow someone to just take over. This is something I'd like to see finished someday, I'm just not able to due to time or knowledge. I took on a task that was a bit too big for me. If someone who knew very well what they were doing we to help, then I'd like to work with them to get it done, not just release control.

Also, just wanted to point out, skyrim's capabilities are perfect for such a mod, its easy to see scripting at its best in mods such as trainwiz mods, which make myst-esque puzzles very easy to create.

If anyone knows how to make and edit mods, now that the author has said he will not be working on it, could someone fix the identical to master issue with weather that overwrites certain weather mods, it makes it so I cant use this mod, and I'd like to, even as is. Or better, someone take over, many people would be happy to see this mod finished. It would be much easier to find such people by uploading it to the nexus, people constantly make unofficial patches and on many occasions take mods that died like this one and finish them.

I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this... But, can you please continue to develop this mod, it has some serious potential to it, and the theme just makes it that so much more awesome. I would love to see more of the brilliantly inspired mod.

@iSmartMan Yeah, you're right. Thing is originally I had a lot of time to keep updates. Sure enough with the things that have happened, and still occuring, its been difficult to continue the updates. Hopefully, with things dying down, I can get back to work on this.

@RPGKampfer I understand that you're hesitant to update, and that you've got a lot to learn, but if that's the way you plan to go forward with this mod, you should probably change the summary to reflect that. The phrases "my own books will be added regularly" and "things will come out roughly once a week from here on out" do not reflect the design philosophy you've been expressing in the comments.

@Some Poor Bastard, I'm not a thief, I paid for skyrim fair and square with that heft 60 bucks. But steam workshop is horrible because it automatically updates the mods, even though that could lead to massive conflicts/ruin the game. Nexus has more and better mods, and it has it's own personal installer via Nexus mod manager.

You sir should actually try the nexus.

Workshop is not "horrible" and people who bitch that they won't download from here but will from Nexus are obvious thieves. You won't use workshop not because "it's horrible" but because you do not have a legit paid copy of Skyrim, thieving ahole.

Would it be possible for you to upload to Nexus as well? Decided to stop using Workshop because it's horrible, but I would love to use this mod. Thanks!
