Light's Potions (v.164)

Description
This mod adds in roughly 13 new potions that have 3 different rarities, 8 bottomless Health Potions, 8 bottomless Mana Potions, 1 Permanent STAT potion that can be purchased from the vendor if you would like, 2 Permanant HP increase potions and 2 permanant MP increase potions that have a small chance to drop while playing. It also adds in 4 crafting recipes for potions. That's about 60 possible drops! It also includes 2 slots for potions one on the health globe side and one on the mana globe side. These are bound to your best health and best mana potion hotkeys. These slots were added in so that you can make use of the bottomless health potions that have a chance to drop! Make sure you slot a health potion because when you hit use best health potion or mana potion the game will look to see whats in those hotkeys. If you didn't slot a healing or mana potion nothing will happen!

The 3 rarities are as follows
Green / Magical
*Minor

Blue / Rare
*Runic

Legendary / Orange
*Mythical

There are 4 different categories of potions Offensive, Defensive, Support, and Booster (thanks to Sch123 from torchmodders for this idea). Each Category has it's own potion color. You may have 1 potion from each category active at a time (I felt stacking all potions seemed a bit overpowered). Each potion has 2 effects tied to it.

Here's the list of potions.

Berserking - Attack Speed + Cast Speed
Carnage - Crit Chance + Crit Damage
Craving - Life Steal + Mana Leech
Hope - Increased Mana + Health
Iron Skin - Reduced Damage Taken + Increased Armor
Knowledge - Increased XP + Fame
Luck - Increased Drop Rate + Gold Drop + Fishing
Malice - Damage Reflect + Damage Absorb
Numbing - Block Chance + Dodge Chance
Slaying - Damage Bonus + Reduced Fumble Chance
Spirit - Reduced Mana Costs + Move Speed Increase
Wealth - Increased Item Selling Price + Reduced Pet Town Travel TIme
Wrath - Increased Charge Rate + Reduced Charge Decay Rate

Crafting
Mage Blood - Crafting item sold by the general goods merchants

Recipes
3 Runic Potions + 1 Identify Scroll = Mythical Potion
3 Minor Potions + 1 Identify Scroll = Runic Potion
4 Mythical Potions Exchange = 1 Mythical Potion
4 Runic Potions Exchange = 1 Runic Potion with a small chance to become a Mythical
1 Mythical Potion + 1 Health Potion + 1 Mana Potion + 1 Mage Blood = Permanant HP or MP Potion.

If there are some other potions that you would suggest let me know and I'll take a look at it.

Current Suggestions
*Release Just the UI
*Look at lowering the drop rate
*Change Icons so there's more visual difference in potions
*Combine some potions together to reduce the amount of potions
*Add in STAT potions that provide a permanent buff (HP,MP, STR, DEX, FOC, DEF) and have them be sold by the vendors for an expensive price.
*Rework the stats on the current potions to make some of the lesser desired ones better. (I would like more feedback on this. Which potions do you find least desired? Most desired?)

I am curious if it would be ok to integrate your mod into one or more of my modpacks. I will add links etc to this mod and i take no personal credit for anything i add to my packs. im hoping to have this integrated into a pack with mutiple merchant pages etc.

Light Stat Potion is included in this mod so it's not needed and is probably causing the issue. The stat potion was split off into it's own mod for players who just wanted that potion without all the others. The stat potion mod by itself has just the normal vendors selling that potion while this mod here removes it from those vendors and places it on the custom vendor that just sells potions. The only other thing I could see that would possibly cause an issue might be the TL2 Refreshed since it adjusts vendors.

I'm running with Light stat potion, TL2 refreshed, Classy class, auto consume, and Hobsprite(? a pet mod).

Are you running any other mods or just this one?

For some reason my game crash when I travel to Zeryphesh with this mod on. Does anyone else have this issue?

The issue with the permanent potions was when I first started the mod I did not have them correctly set to save once used so once you exited out you would lose the stats. That issue was corrected fairly quickly and they should now be truely permanent. As far as the wording on the potion goes I see your point that it can be a bit confusing and sorry for that. I used that term because often times in rpgs enemies attack the target that appears the most intimidating to them (generating threat). At least when talking about threat tables and aggro.

@Pain Killer: As a fellow non-native English speaker, let me tell you, games are a *wonderful* source of new vocabulary :)

In this case, "intimidation" *is* a little bit weird, as it would make you look more scary to the enemies. The way I can rationalize it aggroing enemies is: they see multiple targets (you, pet, summons, other players in multiplayer), and the one who drank the potion looks the most dangerous so needs to be defeated first, the others can be left for later.

piccolo255 is exactly correct thats what this potion was intended to do make the enemies attack you. As far as the save file goes I'm not sure I'm understanding what you mean. You shouldn't have to start a new character everytime. If you are talking about the game crash on startup issues that all mods experience that has to do with the steam cloud and game saves getting corrupted. Usually this happens when you are trying several different mods and something get corrupted and then uploaded to the steam cloud since steam backsup game saves on game exit.
