Multi-techs are hard to come by in terratech.

Most of them don't work.

Most of them break apart.

Most of them have no real purpose in survival.

Well, I want to change things up a bit.

I decided that my HAGP Mk. 3 ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1214334233 ) is a bit too laggy for me, as my computer is not the best. It works very well, but is just too big of a beast for me to use in survival as a combat machine. So I wanted to make a tank that could stand up to heavy firepower and also deal some of it's own, but not by a laggy rain of bullets.

I started out with the turret. Having two powerful cannons being able to swivel like around had to be a feature on my tank. I mean, it's a tank. It also had to be able to work with an AI controlling it, so I wouldn't have to man the turret. After about 12 hours of painful designing and testing, throwing away 5 different heavily developed turret designs, I finally got the turret to work.

So once I had my main weapon up, there wasn't that much need for more. So I focused more on armor and shielding rather than weapons, saving the lag from the bajillion bullets that spew out of most techs. Once that was done, I did many combat tests, made a few more changes and BAM- here it is. The M.D. Testoil.

The Testoil is an all-rounder- literally. The turret has a complete 360 aiming arc, and can be used as an artillery piece if manned by the player. When not manned by the player, the turret aims on it's own (if you set the AI to Guard mode) and blows up everything on it's own.

The Testoil is almost all armor and no weapons- it only has a few for dealing with trees and fast techs. It has two hawkeye DFA mortars, four hawkeye moster mortars, two hawkeye battleship Mk3 cannons, a hawkeye minigun, four hawkeye railguns (facing forwards), 3 venture machine gun lasers, 4 hawkeye axis-shotguns, 2 GSO stud lasers, 4 hawkeye chain guns, and 2 upwards-facing anti-air hawkeye missile launchers. A relatively small arsenal for the craft, but it still does incredibly well in combat.

The protection for the craft is all in it's armor. The shields are there and work very well, but can only do so much. There is the possibility that they fail, and when that happens you are forced to finish the battle with the thickness of your armor. Most designs completely ignore armor and put all their protection in their shields. Lucky for you, the armor on this tank is insane. During combat testing, the tank could easily shrug off several hawkeye tank turret shots and cruise missiles without any shields or repair bubbles. It's that armored.

The tank is complete with a very efficient power engine located in the rear. No need for anchoring this tech! All you have to do is run over a tree, and the engine does the rest. It has two silos that can que up fuel for in-combat power production, making the weakness of the rear armor much worth it. It also automatically sells any non-fuel items it picks up! The worth of the engine compartment is much higher than the weakness in the armor it gives, but just to be safe, I made the engine bay completely explosive-free, so if the thinner armor does get pierced, no worries!

Due to the slowness of the tank (because of the armor), I made a safe and secure thruster compartment to speed up your travels. It is located right next to the battery compartment (in front of the turret shaft) if you would like to replace/remove it.

Enjoy the Testoil, and I wish you all good luck!

WARNINGS:
-Turret performs poorly at most angles greater than 30 degrees. If you are going down a hill or on the side of a mountain, expect poor turret accuracy and dificulty turning.
-Turret can sometimes get "stuck" and stop turning. This is because TerraTech doesn't have the best friction laws, and sometimes it can screw with the turning. To fix, just fire the guns or shake the craft.
-The tank cannot climb very well, even with thrusters. Always look for an easier way up a hill or ridge; it will make your life easier.
-In creative mode, never try to load a tank on top of your current tank if the turret is deployed. It will glich the turret inside your tank and most likely crash your game.
-At seemingly random intervals, the turret AI will decide to turn in the opposite direction of the enemy. This is a glich of the terratech turret AI, and there is not much you can do about it except reposition your tank or take manual control of the turret. Thankfully it is quite rare.

*OPERATION MANUAL*
Turret:
1. Release the turret by pressing x.
2. Align the turret. If you deployed it on uneven ground, it may not fall into the bearing properly and slip out. To fix this, maneuver the turret in build beam to the highest point of the turret shaft (if the Testoil was halfway up a hill, the highest point would be the front).
3. Keep maneuvering the turret until it sets in place.
4. Use the A and D keys to rotate the turret about. If it ever gets stuck and stops turning, fire the weapons (or keep trying to turn until TerraTech friction is bypassed).

Engine:
1. Place fuel under craft near the middle. (this can be acomplished by running over a tree)
2. Wait.

At this very moment I will be recording myself fixing the Testoil! Hopefully I'll be able to finish fixing and improving it!

@Bilmem20 If you want to use the Testoil, you're going to have to revert back to the 0.7.9.2 version of terratech. Any update after that changes the hitboxes on all blocks and makes the testoil's tight-fitting turret shaft no longer fit, which causes it to lock up when trying to turn. Also the tank will drift MASSIVELY because in 0.7.9.2, hover plates were extremely weak compared to now, and I used them to reduce a little bit of load off of the wheels in order to achieve a higher speed. However now they reduce so much load that it greatly reduces the traction on the wheels and causes you to spin out.
I am working on a fixed version, however I have several other projects I am working on right now and fixing it will be difficult. I also have a bit of PTSD from the last time I uploaded the Testoil... and with the 1.0 update right around the corner I don't want the same thing happening. So I may wait until after the update.
