Description
Remember to Rate and Like first.

SEA BATTLES WILL NOT BE PLAYABLE.

Matched combat is back with 100% and with rare animations included.
There will be no "Heart Attack" death animations.
Formation breaking animations are removed.
Some rare animations are removed due to them occuring TOO much and replacing all others.
Battles will be longer due to animations.
Cavalry are now stronger in drawn out fights due to 1vs1 animations.

Use with this mod ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1488383199 ) to make battles look more "Cinematic". IT IS NOT REQUIRED

WARNING : Due to the animations this can create a performance hog so expect lower FPS.

There are no secondary attack animations so if you're gonna whine in the comments about MUH REALISM and MUH STRATEGY and WHY ARENT MY SOLDIERS FIGHTING LIKE ROBOTS well then don't download, this is purely for cinematic players.

COMPATIBLE : SFO, RADIOUS, and CRUCIBLE OF KINGS.
NOT COMPATIBLE : Other animation mods


Note : 2H units have horse killing animations but It's incredibly bugging as CA did not have animations for it, For now it's using sword animations for killing horses which is buggy but it gets the work done.


UPDATE 1.1 : Sword/axe animations tweaked ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++


-Charge attack animations are removed as they are far too buggy and caused units to shuffle around. Also unnecessarily caused battles to be longer.#

- some Rare animations for Sword/axe animations such as ( Unit 1 punches Unit 2 and drags him to the ground, Unit 2 stabs Unit 1 and pushes him off ). ( Unit 1 headbutts Unit 2 causing him to fall over and get kicked and stabbed in the neck ). ( Unit 1 disarms Unit 2 and stabs him in the belly ). These animations are removed because they did not allow other animations to play out causing little variety in the death animations.

- new rare animations introduced, more fluid rare animations that is quick, good to look at and practical.
( Unit 1 slashes Unit 2 across the torso and face ). ( Unit 1 slices unit 2 torso causing him to kneel and stabs him in the neck/back ). ( Unit 1 repeatedly slams Unit 2 in the face with his elbow and finally slashes his neck ).

-Formation animations introduced, these animations will cause units to break formation less whilst keeping the match combat good to look at.

-All single swipe/poke animations removed.


Update 1.2++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :

All sword/axe animation units will now share death and kill animations with 1h units in order to increase animation variety.
Keep in mind that during their death or kill animations, their shield will disappear but this is hardly noticable.

Update 1.3+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :

-Reverted 1.2 changes due to awkward poses.
- Sword/axe animations now include formation pushback. Animations which involve slowly pushing back other opponents is now in place. Overtime, a unit who is losing will slowly be pushed back and eventually encircled.

Update 1.4:++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :

-Added death animations for flag bearer units.
-Added placeholder dog killing animations for spear and 2h units. (Note that this is buggy but is the only solution i have )

-Fixed 1h animation bugs where they would resurrect continuously until after a certain threshold of dying. They now share animations with sword/axe with shield units.

-Added in unique 3 death animations for all sword/axe shield units.

Update 1.6 : +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :

-Added placeholder horse killing animations for 2H units as they were too strong with secondary attack animations beating out every other unit in the game in combat.
- Secondary attack animations removed for 2H.

-Added match combat animations for 2H ( matched combat with spears&shield and other 2h units )

Balancing Update

-Increased melee hit chance from 15 to 25
-Increased melee hit max from 85 to 100
-Increased melee hit min from 10 to 20

-Decreased fatigue rate for combat, running, and charging
-Increase fatigue threshold for Active,Winded, Tired, Very Tired, Exhausted, Fatigued.

Update 1.91 : +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :

-Melee Defense penalty when outnumbered increased to 3


The balancing update was introduced to make combat flow faster and melee units to not get exhausted after a single clash. This was also intended for melee units to chase down archers as archers are strong with this mod due to longer battle time, with the battle time shorter and fatigue rate decreased melee units are now capable of chasing down archers and can come out of fights with lower casualties when being under-fire from enemy supporting archers.

The defense penalty was increased in order to make up for lack of secondary animations which can cause elite tier units to butcher through hordes of low-mid tier units without taking any casualties. This will decrease their melee defense by 3 when outnumbered which will make them weaker when fighting against hordes but will still cut through single units.

Update 1.92 : ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :

-Added compatibility for Radious, Crucible of Kings, and SFO

-Animations now properly includes blood and gore
-Removed several priority taking animations ( with the blood dlc, some animations essentially were the only one playing out specifically the decapitation animations )
-Tweaked some animations to occur more and be less "rare".

-Polished the reworked mod to properly diversify death animations.

-Further polished the matched combat animations for sword and shield, animation will no longer be cut off during the end of the push back animation.

I read negative comment about this game but still bought it but before starting the campaign, I looked for mods that will add flavor to this game. I'm lucky to find this one. By far one of the best battle mods out there, better than other battle mods in atilla and rome 2.

PS: tried playing custom battle first without mod, it was bad, real bad. Tried this one and made the game much better. Now I'm off to campaign :D

idk why but enemy army's just sprint in circles with this mod and wont attack if they do its like one unit at a time looks super good but i had to uninstall
