One year is one year - alternative version

Description
Overview
Like in the One year is one year mod (let’s call it 1:1), citizens age once per one in-game year, but the other values are different. This mod changes the following:
  • Citizens become uneducated labourers or students at age 7 (vanilla: 10; 1:1: 6). If you don’t build schools and you get 7 year old workers, they can move out if you build a new house, but won’t marry before 15, so there isn’t much point of building houses before they’re old enough.
  • They finish school at 15 and can marry at that age (vanilla: 10 for marriage, 15 for graduation; 1:1: 6 for marriage, 9 for graduation).
  • They can have children between the age 16 and 40 (vanilla: 10-40; 1:1: 6-40 [or 35, I’m not sure]).
  • Maximum age difference for marriage is 15 years (vanilla: 20; 1:1: for what I’ve observed, somewhere between 40 and 50).
  • Death of old age occurs between 70 and 100 years (vanilla: 60-90; 1:1: I think 50-80).
  • Version 1.1 2018-05-16: Tombstones stay for about 150 years instead of 5. Make sure you have enough space for everyone!
So, you need to wait for your citizens to grow up for quite a while, but they can live longer. Doesn’t conflict with any of the mods I have, but of course it’ll conflict with 1:1 and other ageing mods, you need to choose one.

Other versions by request
Added this on World of Banished, so why not here. If you want different values, don’t hesitate to ask, it’s easy to change.
  • Alternative 1[mega.nz]
    Citizens die of old age when they’re 55-65 year old (and tombstones stay for about 100 years), for child_of_air.
  • Alternative 2[mega.nz]
    Citizens finish school at 14, can start getting married at 16, have children at 16-45, max age difference is 29 years, death of old age occurs between 50 and 70, and tombstones last for about 60 years, for Yandersen.
  • Alternative 3[mega.nz]
    Same as above, but they die of old age in the range 60-80, and tombstones stay for about 4 years, for Gatherer.
  • Alternative 4[mega.nz]
    Without the 1:1 feature (so citizens age 5 times per year like in the vanilla game), and tombstones stay for about 5 years, for gamer30.
  • Alternative 5[mega.nz]
    Citizens finish school at 11, can start getting married at 15, have children at 15-45, max age difference is 15 years, death of old age occurs between 65 and 75, and tombstones last for about 75 years, for Abandoned.

could you make a version where people in your town become uneducated labourers or students at age 12, finish school at 21, have a child bearing age between 14 and 50, Maximum age difference for marriage is 5 years, Death of old age occurs between 65 and 120 years?

Is there anyway you can make a mod completely similar to the normal "1:1" mod but make the citizens eat 50% of what they normally do? (There are mods out there that already change this however those mods can't be loaded while 1:1 is active, hence I am asking)

So,everything just like the normal 1:1 mod, however make people use 50% less food.

If you got questions my Discord is DuhItzRik#0909

Thanks!

I can confirm this works with Colonial Charter in 2021. I had to start a new game because it didn't work in my existing game. It's at the top of the prio list and I tested a new game pinning 2 kids. Different age cycles, but definitely a year!

Hooray - Thank you for this. My other town I was working on went on a non-replenishing-labourers death cycle and I had no idea the game had advanced aging relative to the year.

Looking forward to starting fresh again tomorrow.

Hi, Hot PineaPPle, this mod will only affect the aging process of your population. The biggest impact is that this makes early games very difficult (in my experience) because it takes so long for newborns to grow to being laborers or students.

Hey
I'm sorry if my question is silly, but does this mode (or this kind of mods in genral) impact the way of gathering resources?
For example I mean, will the tree grow for 120 years? xD

@DOOM 706, That's exactly what I'm looking for as well.

the other 1:1 ageing mod (and presumably this one too. im sure it changes the same file) conflicts with the food requirement mods. im hoping to find one that has 1:1 ageing and a reduced food requirement so i can have some ppl working on something other than food production

@Evvelgé
I didn’t change anything about accidental deaths, there’s already a mod in the workshop called Safer Jobs that reduces the accidents.

@whanzephruseke
I don’t remember now, I didn’t notice anything specific about the birth rate while playing. I probably left the default value. My “birth control” in the game is using houses with fewer slots and/or not building too many new houses if I want the population to grow slower.

@kaatrav
I can make a new version when I’m back to Banished, but in the meantime you can make your own mod. You can’t edit the .pkm files, you need to make a new mod using the modkit. Go to the World of Banished forums if you need help with making a mod, active modders there are very nice people and they’ll happily give you advice, just like they helped me.

Hi! I apologize in advance for any errors in the text (the text is translated using an online translator).
Is it possible to ask for another version (or how to edit the pkm yourself)?
I would like the following:
1) education or work: can residents become students at the age of 7 if they have a school but become workers at the age of 18 instead of at the age of 7? I understand, that game Pro middle ages, but for me it is unrealistic, that workers become in 7 years. If this choice (study or work) is strictly tied to the same age, then please make the beginning of studies at least 11 years. (I hope that we will be able to build a school even at a difficult level in 11 years).
