could you make a version where people in your town become uneducated labourers or students at age 12, finish school at 21, have a child bearing age between 14 and 50, Maximum age difference for marriage is 5 years, Death of old age occurs between 65 and 120 years?

Is there anyway you can make a mod completely similar to the normal "1:1" mod but make the citizens eat 50% of what they normally do? (There are mods out there that already change this however those mods can't be loaded while 1:1 is active, hence I am asking)

So,everything just like the normal 1:1 mod, however make people use 50% less food.

I can confirm this works with Colonial Charter in 2021. I had to start a new game because it didn't work in my existing game. It's at the top of the prio list and I tested a new game pinning 2 kids. Different age cycles, but definitely a year!

Hooray - Thank you for this. My other town I was working on went on a non-replenishing-labourers death cycle and I had no idea the game had advanced aging relative to the year.

Looking forward to starting fresh again tomorrow.

Hi, Hot PineaPPle, this mod will only affect the aging process of your population. The biggest impact is that this makes early games very difficult (in my experience) because it takes so long for newborns to grow to being laborers or students.

the other 1:1 ageing mod (and presumably this one too. im sure it changes the same file) conflicts with the food requirement mods. im hoping to find one that has 1:1 ageing and a reduced food requirement so i can have some ppl working on something other than food production

I didn’t change anything about accidental deaths, there’s already a mod in the workshop called Safer Jobs that reduces the accidents.

I don’t remember now, I didn’t notice anything specific about the birth rate while playing. I probably left the default value. My “birth control” in the game is using houses with fewer slots and/or not building too many new houses if I want the population to grow slower.

I can make a new version when I’m back to Banished, but in the meantime you can make your own mod. You can’t edit the .pkm files, you need to make a new mod using the modkit. Go to the World of Banished forums if you need help with making a mod, active modders there are very nice people and they’ll happily give you advice, just like they helped me.

I would like the following:
1) education or work: can residents become students at the age of 7 if they have a school but become workers at the age of 18 instead of at the age of 7? I understand, that game Pro middle ages, but for me it is unrealistic, that workers become in 7 years. If this choice (study or work) is strictly tied to the same age, then please make the beginning of studies at least 11 years. (I hope that we will be able to build a school even at a difficult level in 11 years).

2) graduation: 21 years (10 years).
3) marriage/pregnancy - at least 21 years old. Age for wedding-21-50 years. Pregnancy-21-40 years. The duration of pregnancy is 9 months. Frequency-every 3-5 years.
4) average life expectancy - 90-120 years.
P.S. unfortunately I haven't found an easy way to edit p files yet. If you could open them with windows tools as an archive, for example, and edit the attached files... But until not is obtained... I'm new to this game... But what about this game, the fact that there is a feudal Forest village in life annoys me by growing up too fast and also by the very fast running of the game... It would be very desirable that the duration of the seasons was 90 days (360 days a year)... But it's not clear if it's possible... Well, growing up at least 1to1 conditionally slows down the speed of the game...

Just started playing with this mod and noticed that one couple seemed to be having babies too quickly. Did you update the gestation period to 9 months, or is it the same as vanilla?

Does it change the death ratio by jobs? If not, wouldn't it be inconsistent bc of not being able to reproduce faster than job disasters?

公民在7岁时成为未受过教育的劳动者或学生(香草:10;1:1:6)。如果你不建学校,你有7岁的工人,他们可以搬出去,如果你建一所新房子,但不会结婚前15,所以没有太多的点建房子之前,他们已经足够大。
他们在15岁完成学业,可以在那个年龄结婚(香草:10为结婚,15为毕业;1∶1结婚,9为毕业)。

I don’t think much can be done about immigration, but I’m a new modder so I surely don’t know as much as someone experienced, there might be a way to make a mod related to nomads. One I heard about involves some kind of hostel with custom amount of nomads (so you don’t get tons of them when your town gets large), but I don’t remember the name.

This looks really good!

If you are still doing variants on this theme, I’d be really keen to have a system that resembles medieval European peasantry more closely. Though I have a feeling it may be less fun to play this way, I want to try it.

Perhaps something like:
Marriageable from 13
Childbearing age from 14 – 40
Maximum distance of 30 years between spouses.
Uneducated workers or students at 7
Graduation at 12
Death of old age 32-90
Tombstones for 125 years

(I think this would simulate it accurately, but I am not a medieval historian so, I might be off on all this).

@Warriorinred I think this is one of my favorite games in this genre because it makes me feel so emotionally bad for letting so many people die and then I have to calculate the survival of the species/civilization all over again and make hard decisions. I had like nearly the same population statistics you had, then a famine in my "harsh, small, winter map" just fucking destroyed my peoples. Ugh. I felt sick. I felt like a failure as dad/God to my society.

I like the mod because for a game with a lot to do about value, time isn't aaccurate. I don't know how to make a mod and I really liked this one, do you think it is possible to make a mod about immigration because population in this game is hard to maintain. One year I have 62 people and 31 children, but two years later I lose all of it (I saved and averted the disaster, so yay!)
