I've been very busy in life now.
I'm going to college while working a near full time job and i hardly have time to do anything unless i'm lucky enough to have a day off on the weekends.

Hopefully sometime in the future i'll have enough time to update this map into something incredible.
Or just start over with a new project when i'm done with everything in school

Features

A somewhat decent sized river(ish) with non refracting and reflecting textures for maximum FPS on those build servers
Trenches that look pretty good with props (Sorry some tanks can't drive over them, someone ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and moaned and groaned saying my map sucks ♥♥♥♥ because his tank can't go over trenches.
Sorry man, you can only do so much with a 10+ year old game and hammer.
I can't make it where you can run over the sandbags and crush them and plow on through or else i would you douche.
This isn't war thunder, it's garrys mod
You ever wonder why some maps don't use trenches, is because they're hard to make and you can't make perfectly square displacements or have brushes meet or be near displacements or they make a solid black line or shadow and look bad

A massive bridge connecting the two hills
It used to be mountain(ish) land masses, but due to feedback it has been greatly reduced to a mere hill

A tunnel system underground
I made a tunnel that connects the surface to the build zone near spawn. It seemed unique

A decently pretty Spawn
it isn't the prettiest though

ambient sounds
for me atleast, building in complete silence or not having something playing in the background and not stimulating your mind can make a map or game become boring faster and not want to stay

Plenty of natural features like trees, brushes, and shrubs.

functioning drag strip with triggers and all kinds of good stuff for your gearhead needs

a build area for trains and cars or whatever you want by the drag strip

brand new train tracks

and some more things i've probably forgotten about.

I'm aiming to keep on updating this map in particular unless i need to.
Hopefully version 5 will be the last version, but if needed of course i will make a completely new and better design for V6

Road systems

Bunkers and more things you can walk into

Better FPS optimization. -Fps is more important than anything, nothing is more annoying than playing on a build server with 5-6 tanks spawned and everyone gets 25-30 fps. Hopefully i can find ways to keep FPS above 40, 60 would be perfect.

More cave systems, not just one

A build test site with plenty of obstacles, bumps, props, yata yata yata to prove how great your build is.

More build zones, or an airport or something.

Train tracks (Haha, accomplished this one) *points fingers at camera and winks*

A way to make the lake even larger (probably ain't happening, it's a river now

So many ideas, so little space in hammer editor

Looking back at my previous versions of the OrgasmicWarfare series, i wish it were possible to combine them all into one map. Unfortunately the source engine doesn't allow maps large enough to be constructed in that fashion.

I think my favorite design is V4, but this is aimed at FPS optimization, if it isn't that much better. i will shape it into something similar into the future

It's been so long since i've been into making maps and stuff.
Most of the stuff i remember downloading custom textures and compressing into the file itself so you didn't have to.

But if i were to have missed anything, i can only think of maybe the old counter strike source game.

Hey if you want more space you can add layers to the map and connect them via teleport

If or when i do it in the future.
It's extremely unlikely that it'll be any time soon.
But when the time comes. i will be sure to redo the map to improve optimization, add features, and make it more build/combat friendly.
Just have been in a tight spot in life.

It's easier to reply to messages since it only takes all but 1 or 2 minutes.
but just adding minor things to a gmod map can take several hours. if not a few days if it's a huge overhaul or something, and with school and a near full time job. that's almost impossible.

If i were to say when i might have a chance to do something like it. it'd probably be when i graduate in june

Tested it out a bit. Kinda like it. Although the spawn area feels really out of the way. Every spawn, gotta walk/noclip a good distance to get back to where you wanna be, which isn't great for builders/combat alike. Kinda prefer spawn rooms like gm_vast and gm_warmap have, where new players can just walk out and see what everyone's doing.

source engine water in gmod soaks up a lot of your cpu power for some odd reason.
I would've imagined trees and all the trenches with the props for sandbags would've
but for me, the water was a good 30-40 fps diference (I have a 144hz monitor) so it dropped it to around 90-100 sometimes.
But when people start spawning a few huge contraptions. it's not abnormal to be at 25-30 fps

if i remember it's pretty decent.
It doesn't use the whole 1km x 1km x 1km that the source engine allows.
but i'm thinking it's about half a kilometer that i let you build high, for optimization and FPS reasons for the average pc player on gmod.

I would've used the whole 1km up if it weren't for the water. lots of people like making boats, that and water makes the map feel better.

What's the sky size like on this map? Looking for a good map for building/ACF, but a huge sky for aircraft is a must.
