This mod requires Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7 mod by Saint_Michaels_
Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7

[IA] Age of World Empires is an independent unit skin mod.
This mod enables Eastern civs, Asian civs, Western civs and Mesoamerican civs to have different unique unit skins.
Unit skins are devided into 4 civ factions:
European(default skin)
East Asian + Southeast Asian
Middle East + African + Byzantines + Indians + Huns
Mesoamerican

This mod is compatible with most of the Independent Architecture mods.

Important
Make sure "[IA]Age of World Empires" have higher priority than "Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7" in your workshop setting.

Claim
PLEASE DON’T use the new cavalry and infantry unit slps made by me to make your own mod or post them on steam workshop without my permission. Because I’ve made great effort on making them.

Instructions
[IA] AOWE works for all the 3 DLCs. You need at least one of the 3 DLCs to run this mod.
1.Go to the Standard Game, above where you choose the maps, there is a “Data Set” option, change it to "Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7", and start a new Standard Game.
(DO NOT choose "Independent Architecture For Patch 5.7"! but CHOOSE "Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7" !)
2.If you want to play the Campaign mode, first START A NEW Standard Game with the Data Set option "Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7". After you enter the game and see the TC, quit the game. Then go to the Campaign Menu and play the campaign.
3.This AOWE version only supports the DLC campaigns. Age of Kings and Conqueror campaigns are not influenced.
4. If you want to play multiplayer mode with this mod, you need to make sure that all players have subscribed and turned on "Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7" and "[IA]Age of World Empires" mods, and make sure to select "Independent Architecture with Unit 5.7" when creating the game lobby.


Reason for this IA version of AOWE
Many players request that they want an IA version of Age of World Empires, so that they can play the independent unit skins in AOWE as well as using their independent architecture mod.

New features
1. Unique knight line for Middle Eastern civs.
2. Unique knight line for Far Eastern civs.
3. Unique halberdier skin for East Asian and Southeast Asian civs.
4. New Hussar skin for all the civs except for European civs.
5. New man-at-arms and champion skin for Eastern civs.
6. New pikeman and halberdier skins for Mesoamerican civs

Credits
1. Graphics of Middle Eastern knight, cavalier, paladin, Far Eastern knight and cavalier are made by Ivindor.
2. Asian Halberdier is made by adongct from hawkaoe.
3. New wingless hussar is modified upon the basis of hobelar from Age of Chivalry Hegemony mod. I changed the shield on its back to make it easier to distinguish it from the light cavalry.
4. Eatern man-at-arms is made upon the basis of Eastern swordsman made by Dave3377 from AoKH.
5. Eastern champion is made upon the basis of a unit from Age of Chivalry Hegemony mod.
6. Mesoamerican arbalest skin is Jorgito's plumed archer.

We really need this and the architecture but for Definitive Edition. I know many who would be VERY appreciative of this if someone could do it.

I’m sorry. If you mean the 15th century knight in this pack. Some people might prefer the original paladin to this 15th century knight.

This mod is built on IA Mod, which does not support unique Japanese units
