Architects

Description

Adds the golem crafting 'Architects' faction. V.064

Major update and rework! Please read below to see the new changes.

Automated Factory Cities: The crowning achievement of the Architects, the 'Factory City'. Such a complex assembly of factories and structures could only ever exist in one location.

Dust-Based Computation: The Architects are few in number, unable to field teams of researchers or run academies. And so they've developed complex machines powered by dust, allowing them to research on the level of great nations.

Golem Workforce: The streets of the Architects' Factory City are filled with a golem workforce instead of flesh-and-blood citizens. Use production to create more workers for your city.

Mining Operations: Collector golems, Non-combatants deployed outside the walls of the Architect's Factory City to collect valuable resources and information.

Begin the match with a custom hero: Craft Alpha - A unique and powerful golem created by one of the elite, long-lost researchers of the Architects.

Activate the Architect's factory city and begin production:

Engineers - Human ground units that specialize in repairing and overclocking the gear and golems of the Architects.
Collectors - Specialized non-combat golems capable of collecting resources outside of your region.
Vitruvian - Advanced front-line war golem. High production costs with high output. Requires repair to keep functioning.
Golem Soldiers - Fragile, numerous, easy to produce. These units are not the pride of the Architect's Factory City, but are nonetheless important near-instant foottroops.
Artillary Craft - Long range back-line golem artillary units.

New in V.06:
Large overhaul to Architects faction:
-Each Golem Model now requires a specific District to be built in the city before their construction is possible.
-New Districts have been added for each Golem Model. Researching these Districts unlocks modifications to be used on all golems.
-A new unit type has been added; the mass producable 'Golem Soldier'.
-Unique faction skins have been hand-crafted for each Architect faction unit, marking them as their own unique Faction on the battlefield.
-Numerous bug fixes and faction balance adjustments
-Fixed issues where Wonders would not display properly once built, Golem Camp couldn't be built, and in-construction Guardians wouldn't be displayed

---
Known Issues:
There is an issue with Craft Alpha's ability tree wherein you are unable to branch from certain abilities into others. This may only be related to the right tree. Requires further testing.
In Era 2, Logistics II does not yet have its own accessory. One will be added in the future. It is still needed in order to produce your Era 2 golem unit!

@BragCrib That's intentional with this faction (the description goes into detail.)

@Viral Happy you like it, homie! Enjoy.

Super cool to see a fully fleshed out custom faction, sad that it seems there aren't proper and full mod tools to create/insert custom assets, but this is as good as it gets for custom factions. Here's hoping Endless Legend 2 will have better mod support!

@Mazu is the singular city a bug? or has it been fixed?

Hi @starkiller - The Architects are limited to one Factory City, so the only way to really 'gain' a new region would be to take one over. Though that's not the intended way to play them, it should be possible if I remember

so his may be silly but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get settlers to gain new lands.

This is a really neat idea! I hope we see a lot of new and different races like this one in Endless Legends 2. =D

You only need to duplicate the carpet in "Localization" named "English" with your current language.
In my case I duplicate it and named it "Spanish". That solves the problem

@oloaleplayer1 There's a complex answer to that question, unfortunately! My recommendation is to look at the mod that's downloaded - everything is in .xml. You should find a Localization folder with all of the 'writing'. Replacing it with a language of your choice and testing it should be a good idea

It's fine, don't be sorry, if I could programm a bit I would translate this and also the game, since sometimes there is convoluted text there too. How do you write files/text in Emdless Legend?
