"The name, "Typus Orbis Terrarum" roughly translates to "The Form of the World" in English. It was the name of the first map made by the Flemish cartographer, Abraham Ortelius, published in 1564. Ortelius was the creator of the first modern atlas, as well as the first person to propose the theory of continental drift. The original purpose of this mod was to create a new map that corrects the some of the more egregious geographical distortions in the "form of the world" of the vanilla" -- bizarcasmThis mod is basically a more accurate map compared to the vanilla one. It features the area included in the vanilla game, plus part of Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Note that no new provinces are added.
