Vasedro - Basic Template Pack

Description
A template pack for Alpha 24+

In the western lands of Palmun the mysterious spires and stone walls of the Vasedro peoples rise from the mesas. For many seasons they have guarded their secrets well, but now it is time for their knowledge to be shared with all of Hearth.

Created with Rayya's Children in mind, this offers an alternative style for construction whilst keeping with the desert theme. All buildings are made from stone with wood and clay adornments. You will require at least one stone and one clay quarry to build a decent sized town.

ACE COMPATIBILITY:
-------------------------------
These templates were designed without any mods installed using the base engine.

Some of these templates are not compatible with the ACE mod and will hang during building. If any of these buildings do not build for you with ACE installed please do the following:
- Turn on automatic crafting in your settings menu
- Place the template and tell it to build.
- PAUSE THE GAME
- Check and see which objects are NOT showing up in your crafter's menu.
- Delete the template before it can be fully built.
- Delete any items which your crafter isn't automatically adding to their queue and replace them with the ACE versions

Follow this list for any mods that are causing for these templates to hang.

Some notes from play testing:
--------------------------------------
Do not place too many templates at the same time. Try to keep your unbuilt templates between two to three maximum. This will improve your overall gameplay

If you have previously downloaded this pack and are wondering where the basic walls went to... I have moved them to a dedicated pack. Please check out the Vasedro - Walls and Defences pack.

@S-salad - These templates were built with the vanilla version of the game. Stonehearth automatically downloads and installs the ACE mod when you play it for the first time. The ACE mod replaces the original crafting stations for all of the factions with new versions (due to the way each crafting station works behind the scenes).

Templates will only let you edit them if you haven't clicked "build". Once you edit the template you can save a local copy with ACE compatible crafting stations.

Hope this helps!

The template for the potters house wants me to build a kiln and pottery table the look differant then the normal ones. I cannot edit the template to remove these nor can I find the correct versions of these crafting stations

You're quite welcome!

Gosh!

Well, thank you for finding these quirks. Let me know if you find anymore.

I am making a list of fixes when I make the ACE compatible versions. There are some ways that I can do things differently now which used to hang or not work so well but have since been fixed by updates.

Keep up the good work @Ghostwish

So I have discovered a rather vexing problem with the basic storehouse, or perhaps more accurately, how items are dropped into the game when bought from a trader.

So, I went and placed my hearth on the second story of the building, right? Well, you know that small overhang of the upper roof, the one that creates a little 1 by 2 space between it and the outer wall? Yeah when I bought my practice swords from the caravan, they went under there and my hearthlings can't reach them.

So yeah don't put your hearth up there. ;)

Ah! I'll give that a shot soon!

@Ghostwish based on the screenshot I've figured it out.

My templates are not 100% compatible with ACE. I will update all of the blurbs on them now.

To successfully build this template in your game, when you place the template (but before you press build) delete the kiln and wheel using the eraser tool and put a new kiln and wheel (from ACE) in their place. The template will then complete.

The reason why is that when they changed the recipie for the Kiln and Wheel it changed the item's ID so your game can't find the objects and the potter can't create them anymore.

It's something specific to this building, however. They have no problem building the default potter's house. Here's a screenshot. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1609642794 I've built two kilns now, one that the blueprint generated, and one that I manually told it to do. You can see the outline of its placement over on the right, and if you look waaaaay in the back right corner, there's my workers, standing around staring at sand.

@Ghostwish Try re-crafting them. This is an engine thing where sometimes they will not acknowledge items in their inventory. If this doesn't work please post the bug on the forums here or the official discourse. We have dev support for a little longer so we should use it :)
