Templates will only let you edit them if you haven't clicked "build". Once you edit the template you can save a local copy with ACE compatible crafting stations.
Hope this helps!
Well, thank you for finding these quirks. Let me know if you find anymore.
I am making a list of fixes when I make the ACE compatible versions. There are some ways that I can do things differently now which used to hang or not work so well but have since been fixed by updates.
Keep up the good work @Ghostwish
So, I went and placed my hearth on the second story of the building, right? Well, you know that small overhang of the upper roof, the one that creates a little 1 by 2 space between it and the outer wall? Yeah when I bought my practice swords from the caravan, they went under there and my hearthlings can't reach them.
So yeah don't put your hearth up there. ;)
My templates are not 100% compatible with ACE. I will update all of the blurbs on them now.
To successfully build this template in your game, when you place the template (but before you press build) delete the kiln and wheel using the eraser tool and put a new kiln and wheel (from ACE) in their place. The template will then complete.
The reason why is that when they changed the recipie for the Kiln and Wheel it changed the item's ID so your game can't find the objects and the potter can't create them anymore.
Thank you too for the suggestions and requests for tweaks. I did go back and add a few things during my review process when the release candidate started rolling out.
I hope you enjoy playing with these templates as much as I enjoyed making them.
Otherwise; great template pack! :D
@Keeper of Insanity
I have a test map for both biomes with a few structures already, but not enough for a full pack. I'm working with the ACE team in the meantime, you can check it out here >https://discourse.stonehearth.net/t/ace-authorized-community-expansion-project/36671
sad to hear it, so I will not even ask about the northern biome :)
@Keeper of Insanity
I am working on a pack in the forest theme also, but I've signed up to another project that I will be throwing myself into soon so that will be out much later this year.
Thanks for the feedback! It really means a lot and I am glad you've enjoyed these templates so far.
As for the cookshop this seems to be an issue with the engine and smaller structures.
I tried to make each building so that it wouldn't spike up your net worth -too- much as this basically leads to a constant stream of orcs every time you try to expand or build in normal or hard mode. For this reason the cook shop ended up being a little pokey due to all the stuff a cook needs to function.
The only workaround I have is to remove the wall shelves when you place the template and before you press build. That would also be the only fix I would have for this template too. I know this isn't much of a fix but I hope it helps :)
As the final development cycle for the game has been announced, I will monitor this going forward and make a "final release" version of this mod in time. (If the shelves are still annoying in future releases I will be taking them out).
Hi, i've been using your mod (It's really good templates!) for a while now. and in all this time of use, i have but 1 gripe and i dont think you can do anything about it, but just incase you can
the cookhouse visibility inside (half walls) makes it very hard to see inside and set supply parameters for the supply racks, and with (Walls down completely) the wall racks are never visible to be configured.
i dont know how you'd fix this IF at all, but i thought i'd let you know, it's real pretty, but it's a bit of a pain to work with in very specific situations!
thanks for the great templates i like them alot!
@TheFrustratedElmo thankyou! The Citadel building in the pack is empty and can be used for whatever you choose. It definately has a sort of Cleric feel to it. I won't be adding any wall towers to this pack but I am working on something... :)
Other then that, amazing looking pack. I could never design anything like these.
@Mathrador: What sort of request we talkin 'bout? haha. Please put it on my profile if you are able.
