I am in the process of reviving Endurance in Redux using everything that I have learned and built for Single Seaters. 44 cars, 6/12/24 hour races, day/night cycle. - Brian

9/23/18 update: I now have a dll that is for MACROmanagement, no micromanagement, and full player control. Full player control does come with the game automatically dropping the engine and driving style down to low/back-up whenever there is a yellow flag OR when in pitlane. Additionally FUEL ISSUE IS FIXED between all 3 distances!! AI won't run out of fuel! This comes with an additional 3 lines inside the designdata file to go with the 36 we added at the beginning of the month

9/4/18 update: I have pulled the dll that allows you to race for 1.5 seasons. In its place is a more refined schedule that stretches into December, and should not crash at the end of the season. The AI teams are a bit more balanced and if you download the resources.assets file plus the dll from my discord, you will see that the tracks are renamed, fuel consuption is better in short races, the AI shouldn't complain about cold tires under the safety car, AI should no longer stack in the pits unless it is an absolute emergency, AI should be very unlikely to run out of fuel now, and if you run the no micro-manage version you also should not hear the drivers complain about overheating the tires either.
We have added 36 lines of code to the design data file that the older dll will not recognize (2 new wear bands for 5 tires x 3 distances plus a base line fuel burn rate for driver and chassis)
Lockups can happen at any turn after a 100yd/m straight (previously 400yd/m).
Regen drivers capped at 50% marketability allowing driver traits and performance to adjust from there.
I had planned to have practice knowledge give diminishing returns to show challenge of getting the most out of the car (level 1 at 4%, then level 2 at 3%, and level 3 at 2%; max 9%) but for now have just lowered it to 4% per level (12% maximum)

Why True Endurance?
The short race is 6 hours
The medium race is 12 hours
The long race is 24 hours

Since you can change the race distance at any time, you can now attempt to recreate the WEC schedule

SCHEDULE
I tried to follow the 2017 WEC schedule, and came up with a reasonably close 8 race schedule
Phoenix -> now more like Daytona!
Guildford -> Silverstone
Ardennes -> Spa
Milan -> Le Mans (it's the best I could do since Ardennes only has 1 layout)
Dubai A (alternate Le Mans since layout is 4.08 mi, the longest in the game)
Munich -> Nurburgring
Vancouver-> CotA
Yokohama-> Fuji
Doha-> Bahrain

FUEL
Fuel stints for all race times should be around 45 minutes. Who knew there were 4 parts to the fuel consuption equation, and 2 of them previously couldn't be edited? We fixed that!

TIRES
The softest compound for a race weekend can almost double stint, so a decision on how to stretch them to a double stint is needed by you the manager.
The middle compound can do a double stint with no problem, but can you make it a triple?
The hardest compound can triple stint, but its a bit slower, what to do?
Also with the dry compounds, all cliff percentages are 15%, so that the color change to red at 25% gives a nice 10% warning. It also allows you the chance to drive around after the tires have gone off the cliff and not immediately blow out the tire.

Wets and Inters have their cliff at 5% and are meant to mimic the durability of the middle compound

I was able to add a rule to the rule changes text file to get 18 sets of tires for the race weekend, but it will require the resources.assets file to work properly

REPAIRS
Repair times are a bit more realistic... need to replace the brakes? Those things are hot and need time to cool off! That repair can take up to 90 seconds.
Something is going wrong with the engine? The crew needs time to look over the engine, it could be 2 minutes for that!

BUILDINGS
Due to the short season, the buildings have a bigger and more varied impact on driver and staff development now

DRIVERS AND STAFF
Not only do the buildings have greater impact on development, but the daily/weekly caps on the driver and staff development have been raised. Personality traits have also been added.

SPONSORS
SLOT 1 is now the only slot with performance based sponsor offers. Sponsor also now have different offers based on the star rating. For example, some sponsors can have both 1 and 2 star rating offers or 2&3 star rating offers. I also added a tire sponsor to every team.

SPEC PARTS
Spec parts are now set to 40% of the maximum for a tier. So LMP2 will have engines and gearboxes rated 560 to start a career. If LMP1 votes in spec parts they will be 840.

I am still working on the details, so if you have suggestions or tweaks, please let me know


Finally, thank you to everyone who has read this far and/or tried this mod out. It is not for everyone and be quite grueling to get through.

Due to the release of Rebirth: Redux, I will be shuttering this mod. Many of my tweaks and enhancements went into that mod along with the added bonus the day-to-night transition.
