Aurochs - A better breed of Pack Bull

Description
Adds a larger, tougher version of the Pack Bull called an Aurochs to Kenshi. I made this mod because I was tired of carrying my Pack Bull after every battle because it was as flimsy as a starving bandit.

Aurochs are larger, have more health, and do more damage than the Pack Bull. They also improve toughness and athletics faster. They are immune to the combat penalty effects of duststorms.

The Aurochs backpack stacks up to 6 items like a Garru backpack. The regular Pack Bull backpack only stacks 5 items.

Available for purchase from nomad animal traders (both the wandering caravan and the settled nomad shops). Each nomad animal trader has a 20% chance each for a greater aurochs, an aurochs pack bull, and an aurochs pack cow - they may not have any, may have one, or may have one of all three types.

I'f you've built a base, they will eventually come to you or you may encounter them roaming in: Dreg, Flat's Lagoon, Heng, Okran's Gulf, Shem, Sinkuun, Stenn Desert, and The Great Desert.

Also adds a simple start - Nomads with an Aurochs.
- Random start location
- 3 Nomads
- 1 Aurochs Bull with backpack
- Random number of Goats

--- v. 2 Changes ---

Reduced the size slightly because I thought they were too big, but they are still larger than normal bulls.

Aurochs bulls now have a black coat like the historical aurochs did.

Aurochs cows now have a brown coat like the historical aurochs did.

Aurochs bulls are larger than cows like the historical aurochs were. To do this, I had to create them as separate sub-races. To prevent anyone from loosing their Auroch with Pack from V1, they are still included. So there are 3 different kinds of Aurochs for purchase from the nomads. See screenshot for size comparison between the vanilla pack bull and the varied aurochs.

--- v.3 Changes ---

Added herds of Wild Aurochs to the same territories that wild bulls are found in. Warning! They are aggressive! If you see a large heard coming your way - RUN!

--- v.4 Changes ---

Added small herds of bulls and aurochs to Stenn Desert in the Shek Kingdom.

--- v.5 Changes ---
Added a lore book to the Tech Hunter series. Available wherever Tech Hunter Lore books are sold.

Changed name of the original bigger Aurochs breed to Greater Aurochs.

--- v.6 Changes ---
Made aurochs available for purchase from the animal trader shop in settled nomad villages.

--- V.7 Changes ---
Repackaged mod to keep it up to date with the latest version of the game. No other changes.

To make aurochs recruitable with TameBeasties, make sure both mods are in FCS, go into Auroch mod; find squads (auroch - wild/bull/etc.) and add in dialogue animal - tame bull. It should be worded Moo or cow something, you'll see it.

Make sure to go in the race to add auroch backpacks as being able to be equipped for all.

@Kendov You are the best, I just sent a request to the modder of TameBeasties to request compatibility with these beasties. I have seen they haven't updated in a while so I wasn't hopefull until I saw your comment! I'm gonna try your fix now. Any luck on having the backpack fit? Thanks! :steamhappy:

Tamed a man-killer Auroch, but the auroch backpack doesn't fit? bug or intentional?

@Shir Blackwater just load TameBeasties as active along with Auroch mod in the FCS and add the Auroch races to the Bull recruit lines. perhaps at some point in the future there might be a patch with Auroch-special requirements like with foulhounds, but personally I'm too lazy for that

Found a fun tactic for clearing out cannibal settlements, I capture a few injured man killer aurochs, heal them back up then have my fastest runners carry them over to a cannibal place, release the man killer and run it right into the cannibal camp untill they attack it. It's a beautiful thing to watch a camp get flattened in a stampede. =p

Any auroch that does get beaten down somehow I capture again and heal it up for the next raid. Pity I can't actually tame one with the tame beasties mod, they'd be good siege tanks if the enemy doesn't have many turrets.

The gate guards distracted it long enough for me to get away though, so that was nice. I went and hid in the police station until it went down lol.

The Man-Killer is absolutely terrifying. One came at me outside Stack while I was mining and I nearly shat myself trying to get away from it. Mostly because it was really early in the game and it very likely would have one shot most of my characters. The gate paladins were a little messed up from a previous auroch attack and the 5 of them were put down easily, it took down like 3 other paladins and bloodied an Inquisitor before it went down.

@slpc04, Per your request, I've made a version of this mod in which the wild aurochs are only aggressive if attacked. Its available at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1776098107

Ty for yr answer! Please, please, is it possible to have a version of no aggressive aurochs roaming any part of the map? I really like my bulls to be hardy but am very wary of having to defend the guards of towns for fear eventually the aurochs will wear them down! Ty in advance! If it is not possible, its ok too, though I hope you could.

@slpc04 The Aurochs Man Killer spawns in Okran's Gulf, Skinners Roam, and Vain. They will travel around just like the normal wild bulls, so yes, they will wander into Stack and hive villages. And since they are very aggressive, they'll attack anything they see. Small herds of Aurochs (3-5) will do the same (the man killer is always alone). I've seen them wipe out the paladins guarding one gate in Stack, but never seen them do more than that before the rest of the paladins take them down.
Skinner's Roam has larger herds of Aurochs, and you should run from them if you see them! I once lured a large herd (about 12) of them into the holy mines in Skinner's roam and they wiped out all the paladins there.
