Make sure to go in the race to add auroch backpacks as being able to be equipped for all.
Any auroch that does get beaten down somehow I capture again and heal it up for the next raid. Pity I can't actually tame one with the tame beasties mod, they'd be good siege tanks if the enemy doesn't have many turrets.
Skinner's Roam has larger herds of Aurochs, and you should run from them if you see them! I once lured a large herd (about 12) of them into the holy mines in Skinner's roam and they wiped out all the paladins there.
One charge and 4 dead. 328 damage. And I mean, they are huge....makes sense that they hit hard.
A normal pack bull or garru is a powerful addition to any squad in the early game. The garru is a meat tank that can last thru many fights against starving bandits, dust bandits, fogmen, just on its massive HP and does AOE damage for crowd control. The pack bull does more AOE damage with its charge attack but is more of a glass cannon, barely tougher than a normal character HP wise.
While I waited, a herd came by and knocked them all down. So I used their sleeping bags. And then came more Aurochs, a man killer. A very serious fight that one was.
And then more herds, killing all the bandits.
FInally got to buy two of them. Holy shit, they are powerful. They mostly knock peole out with one hit, mostly 2 or even more people with one hit. Hits over 200 are common. But I guess its balanced by the fact they get hit by everything easily
I also (just now) added them to the nomad animal trader shops in settled nomad villages (Why didn't I think of that before?).
Also maybe make him a touch bigger, Auroch's were closer to 30% larger than modern day domesticated cattle. I think the attempted reproduction like Heck Cattle while still smaller were about 25% larger.
Really cool mod that adds some more flavor to the game!
