[BROKEN] Dire Wolf

Description
Tech is completely broken, please use the latest version.
LATEST VERSION HERE: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1753625510

Controls:
WASD to move, Q and E to strafe, Shift to ascend, Ctrl to descend, arrow keys for tilt adjustment.

A large, dark assault cruiser airship capable of levelling towns with a single strike.

Much more powerful than a regular cruiser, the Dire Wolf can obliterate heavily shielded opponents in a blink of an eye, a few more if the enemy is to its side or rear. Its large, powerful engine can push it to speeds of 86mph, but because of its rear mounted position the airship has a wide turning circle. Due to the large engine, heavy armour and weapons, the Dire Wolf has a relatively low battery capacity, meaning it cannot sustain heavy damage for too long.

INSTRUCTIONS:
AIRSHIP SPAWNS IN ANCHORED, CHARGE FOR FULL COMBAT CAPABILITY. SHIFT TO GAIN HEIGHT, WASD TO MOVE, STOP MOVING TO SLOWLY LOSE HEIGHT.

Note: Please do not spam press B, it won't make the airship go down, it'll make it go up instead.

at first i actually thought it was supposed to be inspired from battletech, since one of the clan flagships in battletech is called the dire wolf

Nope, it's actually inspired by the Warhammer 40K ships.

I am not accusing you of anything QuackDuck, I am curious if this is modeled or inspired by one of the Gray Talon airships in From the Depths.

The strange handling is caused by a bug, which should be fixed in the next update. If it still handles strangely after the update, I will most likely make a new version which controls better.

I won't use the EXP gyros because I want my creations to be used by everyone, including players without the R&D DLC.

Is there a way you can make an upgraded version of this? possibly using the experimental gyros, as the the few new updates have tinkered with this ship's handling.

This is what I imagined while reading Mindless's comments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBOSkT-7jBE

The only way it can go down without using sneaky build beam getarounds or cheaty teleportation is by sitting for a good minute waiting for your ship to slowly sink. You have given up an entire direction of control, which is NOT good. It gives the enemy tactical advantages and more control over you in combat, something you don't want when your ship completely COMBUSTS when out of power due to incredibly dense high-explosive weapon spam being right next to the batteries. A couple of well-placed surface-to air missiles batteries could take this ship down quite easily. Save the super flotatious hovering for a luxery yacht, not for a warship.

here's the problem with this airship (and it's not as prevalent as the Fenrir so good job); it can't go down. I realise that this thing is an artillery ship, but even then, you can't go downwards which is useful for using your cannons when your missiles are out of range. The best way of going down in this airship is by spam pressing B, which can be a major disadvantage during combat as getting hit by enemy rounds will disengage your build beam, making it hard when you're under a constant rain of fire. The other main way is by pressing the anchor button, which teleports the ship anchored to the ground. This A. doesn't work with all terrains, B. is a cheaty bug, C. may eventaully be fixed, D. won't work if you have loose blocks on your ship from combat damage. However, losing blocks tends to also make the Direwolf fly into the air uncontrollably, turning your beloved artillery cruiser into a rocket ship heading for the TerraTech moon.
