The Baby Bee

Description
A hoverbike (or hovercycle) is a vehicle that can hover, but that otherwise resembles a motorbike, mainly by having a propulsive proportion that is capable of executing the correct velocity to maim mentally unhinged mercenaries that are charging towards you at relatively high speeds. [Thanks, Wikipedia].

The Baby Bee is a retrofuturistic bike model that is based off of the Dodge Tomahawk, which is a rather beautiful motorcycle. This was made for an upcoming short I am making. Since it looks halfway decent, I decided to upload it.

This is my first workshop submission exclusively by me. Of course, it isn't the prettiest. I'm still a noob to Blender as well.

As you look at these pictures, some other models that aren't native to the usual TF2niverse may appear. These are also made by me though I choose not to upload them since A). I like teasing things, and B). They're actually half-fast made.

Includes:
- bike\bee\babybee.mdl
- A special rig for the handlebars, body, foot things, hand levers, and even an independent bone* that would be assigned to the rider (for convienience).
- Eight different materials on the bike, from reflective to matte styles.
- Six skin variations. Red, Blu, and the default preset. These skins come in two styles; Matte & Shiny.

*This bone is labeled as rider_bone. Theoretically, you can attach the pelvis or roots of the models to it without worrying about connecting the main body bone to the model. The bone has no vertices attached and is there for when you wish to keep a model attached to the bike wihout extra hassle. This bone is completely optional and is there for when you may need it.

Possible updates include:
- New materials, from plasticine looks (if this were to be scaled down to look like a toy) and alternate shines.
- More colors
- New textures and designs
- The release of more information on the ominous figure in the last slide, which has some correlation to the Bee.

Have any questions? Please ask below.

I'm not a SFM user, personally, but I do use GMod and like to use SFM models. I gotta say this model is gorgeous; I think it still fits the TF2 style pretty well considering it's a futuristic vehicle. Good work on this.

Hey, everyone. I am bumping this thread to notify those who were looking for less harsh materials on the Bee. To compensate between the metallic chassis and frame of the Bee, I added a new matte style which alters the look of the frame. I highly recommend this for those who don’t favor the shiny materials. The new matte is softer and less reflective.
