Description
Use the furnace to melt down items and get back 1/4 of the metal - iron, steel, hardened steel, or starmetal bars. Items that would return less than a bar are not melted down (the 1/4 bars to crafted requirement bars ratio is rounded down) but if you put enough of the item they will be melted down (for example 20 iron arrows melt down and give one iron bar). All types of items are meltable (such as a seige cauldron) except work benches (such as the blacksmith's bench or wheel of pain). Named items will melt down if they can be melted to a bar or more of metal. WARNING ~!~ Do not use the furnace to store prized items ~!~

That makes sense. Tradeoff is probably fair in that sense. I suppose for steel and hardened steel items if you can get even a single bar, there is some good payback, as it takes so may iron rocks to achieve the same.

The trade off as I envisioned was more of the matter of simply throwing the entire item into the furnace without removing all needed to keep from producing a muck of mostly slag (as in impure and unuseable).

It is nice to get some small amount back, but metal doesn't really evaporate much, so I'd rather see this return 75% of the original metal used. At only 25%, I'm more inclined to just drop all the looted weapons/tools for weight reduction. If you want to get really fancy, you could make an editable config file for the percent return and the number in the serrver config would always override the client setting, if there is a way to do that. Just a thought

Great mod though! I'm subscribing now, but installing later, after I finish testing some other mods. Don't want too many running at once for troubleshooting.
