That makes sense. Tradeoff is probably fair in that sense. I suppose for steel and hardened steel items if you can get even a single bar, there is some good payback, as it takes so may iron rocks to achieve the same.

The trade off as I envisioned was more of the matter of simply throwing the entire item into the furnace without removing all needed to keep from producing a muck of mostly slag (as in impure and unuseable).

It is nice to get some small amount back, but metal doesn't really evaporate much, so I'd rather see this return 75% of the original metal used. At only 25%, I'm more inclined to just drop all the looted weapons/tools for weight reduction. If you want to get really fancy, you could make an editable config file for the percent return and the number in the serrver config would always override the client setting, if there is a way to do that. Just a thought

Great mod though! I'm subscribing now, but installing later, after I finish testing some other mods. Don't want too many running at once for troubleshooting.

when I put a cutlass in the furnace it says melt falcata, when I put a falcata in the furnace it says melt cutlass.

No idea why that is, double checked, the cheap cutlass is a recipe in the iron table, the falcata a recipe in the steel table, no clue how that happens.

the cutlass breaks down into steel bars and the falcata into iron. Should be reversed.

Thank you very much for this mod, it is wonderful to be able to recycle all the weapons and tools that you do not need. I do not understand how it does not have 5 stars already :)
