Resonator Class

Description
The practice of resonation has been long forgotten, but was once used by ancient guardians to protect their emperor from angered gods. Yet a few still remain. By controlling the resonance of your soul, you awaken the ancient power of turning pain into strength. Use it to make your enemy regret ever attacking you and protect those you hold dear.

NEW MECHANIC!
The resonator is a masochistic tank class that primarily uses warfare and aerotheurge with a sound theme. Just like how a guitar string resonates at a higher frequency the shorter it is, your attacks will get stronger the more you get wounded. Empower your abilities by getting attacked by enemies and obtain resonation. Resonation is a resource that certain abilities consume to either deal more damage or do additional effects. Resonation acts like the sound of souls and is stored in your shield. Therefore a shield is required to play this class (one is granted through the preset class) The better you manage your resonation the more effective the class will be in combat. It's a high risk high reward class and comes with 21 new skills (with more planned, as I work on balancing), tons of new statuses and effects!

Planned additions
Future additions will be in the DE version.

Tier 1 (lvl 1+)
  • Resonate (starter): An ancient meditation technique that stores power from your enemy attacks. Obtain resonation every time you're attacked by an enemy.
  • Noise (starter): Disrupt the resonance of your enemy's soul and fill your target with taunting noise in their ears. Can bounce up to two other enemies.
  • Vibration (starter): Use your resonance to vibrate the inner shards of your armor and improve it's durability
  • Return Echo: Transfer a bit of your resonance into a melee attack. Granted by having resonation
  • Gain: Increase the gain of your resonance to strengthen your body and increase your constitution.
  • Feedback: Smash your target with your mighty shield.

Tier 2 (lvl 4+)
  • Implode: Compress the air around you to cause an implosion and attract all nearby characters to you.
  • Attenuate: Force your mighty resonance into your enemies and weaken them.
  • Phase Jump: Move at the speed of sound to teleport to target location. Use with resonation to get haste, or become crippled and deaf for 2 turns.[i/]
  • Full Echo: Manifest all your resonance into one big attack on a target. Resonance increases damage
  • Transduce: Transform sound into electric energy to stun your target. Can fork up to two other enemies. Resonance increases damage
  • Amplify: Amplify your resonance to double your resonation tier (maximum of 10)
  • Harmonics: Send a sound of harmony into your allies. Removes stunned, frozen, knocked down and crippled

Tier 3 (lvl 8+)
  • Revenge Echo: A risky technique that makes yourself unable to use most abilities until released and taunts nearby enemies. But let's you release a devastation blow later. Gain resonance twice as fast for the duration.
  • Distortion: Cause a sound distortion that makes it difficult to hit anyone but you.
  • Frequency Control: Tune your resonance to the selected surface element. Grants a status based on the element which scales with how much resonance was used.
  • Equalizer: Equalize the worth of you and your allies resonance to even out health and armor by percent.

Tier 4 (lvl 12+)
  • Disperse: Harden your resonance to make yourself temporarily invulnerable, but also cripples yourself.
  • Critical Echo: Teleport behind your enemy and release all your resonance into a devastation blow
  • Phase Shift: Control the resonance of nearby characters to upgrade certain statuses into it's next phase. Will not work with custom statuses from other mods. But I coded a lot of vanilla statuses into this one, so play around with it and experiment
  • Reflection: Make your enemy regret attacking you. Reflect damage dealt to you.
  • Last Stand: Make your last stand! Grants yourself an immense amount of armor. But take piercing damage on each of your turns for the duration.

How's the port to DE coming along?
i seriously cannot play this game anymore without a god damn Poper Tank class.
i basically always play Tank when i can, but this game doesn't have that, i Never felt like a true tank, This mod does.

I hope that works as advertised. DE has predictable hot mess start, but it seems like all the core elements are still there

Well from what I've read, there will be an import function for old mods. So making it compatible with DE shouldn't be an issue

They will need to iron out the bugs from release first, so that makes sense. I hope the modding tools are a little easier to use.

Haha interesting combo. But FYI, modders will need a new editor for Definitive Edition. And from what I've heard, that won't be released until "next week"
