MPU Theatre Icons (Less is More)

Description
***** NOTE: requires the MPU Base Mod *****

Part of a series of mods I've made to implement Dr. Leo Niehorster's WWII symbol set[www.niehorster.org] for Vanilla HOI4.

Compatible with v1.8.1

This is essentially a cut down version of the main theatre icons mod for anyone using integrated graphics or an older video card... if you have issues with the icons being squished or out of position. This version has less overall icons and will work better with older cards / integrated graphics.


- Removes the standard army group and army icons
- Counters for a large amount of unique division types
- Icons for all vanilla division types plus some extras for use with mods
- Army Group and Army counters for Field Marshal led groups
- Army and Corps counters for General led groups
- Resizes the theatre selection window slightly so that the icons fit better
- Indents the army groups under the theatre
- Highlights the army group / army colour around the field marshal's / general's portrait

- Adds fleet, task force and task group theatre icons for naval theatre
- Adds hull designations for the naval equipment roles

- Ironman / Achievement / MP compatible

To add an expanded colour picker to the insignia selection window, subscribe to MPU Theatre Icons - More Colours mod

Anyone using integrated graphics or an older video card... if you have issues with the icons being squished or out of position, try subscribing to the MPU Theatre Icons (Less is More) mod instead. This version has less overall icons and will work better with older cards / integrated graphics.

Not 1.9 compatible.

Activating this mod will cause the "Air Recon" mission to disappear from airfields.

Tested repeatedly on a fresh install without any other mods active.

Not sure about the status of your other mods as this is the one I love to use. Thank you for your work on this mod.

@FistFullOBeer: While I was planning to no longer maintain the Less is More version, it's occurred to me that the only difference between the main mod and the cut down version is the cut-down list of icons... and that's it's merging the changes into the UI etc. and not the icons themselves that takes up all the time when updating for a new PDX patch. So, I'll be updating the Less is More version to the latest patch along with the other mods soonish (hopefully before this weekend)

Love the mod - thanks for doing this. Although I still prefer the Less is More version. In my games I won't have time or need for all these icons, and just being to find the ones I like fast is important to me. Also, unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be compatible with the More Colors addition, which is a really great addition.

@davyderison1976: if you can, try out the main theatre icons mod: MPU Theatre Icons (L) - NATO like counters . I've cut down the number of icons in the main mod to a similar size to this version. Assuming the main mod works for everyone, I'll likely discontinue this version

All of these files will probably require an update for the "Man the Guns DLC, due to the fact that Naval forces use icons now for the fleets. Activating these mods has been causing a CTD for me before the game even gets to the main menu screen.

The mods that I was using prior to MtG were (More colors, Icons (L), or (Less is More). These at least are no longer usable due to the above mentioned CTD issue. Not totally sure about all the other mods listed above, but it is safe to assume that they would all cause the same issue.
