Description
This mutation pack gives you three different new gamemodes:

Endurer (1 Player)
Endurer - NHM (1 Player, no HUD)
Enduring (1-4 Players)

Each gamemode works fundamentally, and exactly, the same. With no specials and strong but spread out common infected, you must take the supplies you're given at the start, and make it to the end.

At the start of the game, you will be given one of each type of weapon and item. The choices going forward are yours alone (or your teams) and will decide if you make it or not.

Game Rules:
10 hits from a common will kill you on easy. 20 if hit from the back.
5 hits from a common will kill you on normal. 10 if hit from the back.
2 hits from a common will kill you on advanced. 4 if hit from the back.
1 hit from a common will kill you on expert. 2 if hit from the back.

(If you're playing alone, I recommend easy.)

No hordes.
No specials. (Excluding bosses at some points. IE: Tank, witch.)

This mutation works with every single campaign, both custom and vanilla.

Things to note:
* Common infected are strewn everywhere and are basically the only infected you will fight. Aim for the head to get quick results. Or, you can take them down with enough body shots.

* Common infected will be disturbed by flashlights, and nearby noises. In this gamemode, you can sneak past infected and fighting altogether, if thats your cup of tea.

* Infected do not respawn. Once a map is cleared, its cleared forever. Feel free to backtrack with no punishment.

* Avoid brightly lit areas. It will give your position away to the infected, even if you're crouching.

* This gamemode functions close to an almost real zombie apocalypse, so you can incorperate strategies as such.

* The description doesn't lie. You will never get another item of any type, ever again. Your ammo is also on death's row. Don't miss those shots.

* No grenade launchers. Only practical weapons. Shake it up a little and see what works best for you.

* Surround sound speakers of any type (Headphones, etc) will greatly increase situational awareness and boost your chances of survival.

* Crowbars are always a one hit kill to the head.

* Shoving infected from behind when unaware will instantly kill them.

* In no HUD mode, you can still check your health and items by holding down tab. Do this periodically to keep track. However, you cannot keep track of your ammo. Try to count your shots.

* For those of you who like to play in third person using the recently un-cheated console command "thirdpersonshoulder", your survivor will raise his or her gun in alert if they see something hostile, whether you yourself can identify it or not.

* The horde sound will play here and there. You can safely ignore it, as hordes are disabled.

* Weather is still active, even though hordes are disabled.

* If you play hard rain or any custom map that makes you go back to previous locations, all your items from the gunbag will be there when you get back.

* There are melee weapons strewn about the map to make sure the player always has something to fight with. The same cannot be said for pistols, though.

* Landing on top of zombies will instantly take them out.

* Your shoves are limited, and are treated as if you're fully exhausted all the time. Make them count.

* There will always be a tank at the end of a campaign. Although it will always have 1500 health, make sure you save some bullets.

* Take your time. There is no time limit to completing any chapter.

* Buddies will come back in the multiplayer mode after reaching a saferoom, so you'll never sit out a campaign. But, there are no defibs, and they only come back with 50 health and a pistol.

* Zombies only run as fast as you. Outrunning infected is a viable strategy if you desperately need to get from point A to B.

* You don't spawn with ammo upgrades. But you can find them... And they'll refill you only one clip.

Tread carefully, and good luck.

Massive credits to the All Alone mutation pack from 2013. I couldn't have made this without studying how the scripts work inside of it first. I used damage and infected density values from its scripts to emulate its infamous "Truly Alone" gamemode. If you're wondering, I got the idea for this mutation when I ran out of supplies while playing Truly Alone.

And honestly i can't close out this description without linking it. If you want to check it out, look no further than here. Endurer is merely my own little spinoff of it.

could you extend this script to include the CS weapons?

Sometimes weird bug appears, after a succes headshot zombie continues attacking/running without a head, maybe some kind of an addon conflict, but nothing seems to be highlighted red in addons menu.

Two questions. Do pistols have infinite ammo as normal, and would weapon scripts work with this?

this one is a little bit too hard to me. do you know where i can find an easier mutation (some zombies still walk after their head is off)

This is a great mod, but I'm gonna rant a little here.

I wish someone could put a twist on this.

I've played mods that send an amount of zombies that fill the whole map that only die from headshots. Even though they're slow, they still kill you in 5 hits. And once someone makes something like that, that's when the players start to push back. I've opened up hammer and studied every single map I've played the mutation on, to find one slip up the map creators made, and abuse it. Does anyone know of a mod that's like this but isn't extremely hard?

Been playing a bit now on expert solo, and it seems way too easy, you can just keep rushing past everything with the little amount of commons there is. Only danger is the finale, but with high ground those become pretty easy as well.

I've played all of these type of mutations in the workshop, and you finally perfected this!
Kudos to you! This is the way I will play this game from now on. This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much!:GDEasy:
