Changes Sumer and Gilgamesh to make more sense historically and to create a more complex focus with the design. The highlight of this is the Ziggurat becoming a District rather than an Improvement, because what how even does a City's sacred temple translate to some dime-a-dozen construction scattered between farms and plantations actually like how

Is probably OP, but idk Scotland was pretty contemporary with me when I played so w/e. The idea is for the Ziggurat to act as an alternative to the Campus, so that the slot can be used on other things like Encampments for getting dem GGs etc, but if you wanna combine the two and probably outpace everyone easily then sure go for it it's ur game.

UA: Cradle of Civilization
Completing a Technology before any other Player grants a Eureka, and completing a Eureka grants Faith. Farms on Rivers yield +1 Food.

UU: War Cart
Sumerian unique Ancient era Unit, replacing the Heavy Chariot. Requires Animal Husbandry. Receives an additional Movement if it starts in open terrain. Slightly weaker but cheaper. Also actually has a penalty vs Spearmen now bc wtf why didn't it before

UD: Ziggurat
A Holy Site replacement unique to Sumer. Receives +2 Faith when placed on a River instead of the usual Faith from Forests. Generates Science equal to its Faith Adjacency Bonus, while its Specialists yield +2 Science and generate +2 Great Scientist Points.

Gilgamesh
LUA: Epic Quests
Clearing Barbarian Encampments provides a Tribal Village bonus, and receive Great General Points for killing Barbarian or Free City Units (with RaF). Each Great General expended provides +1 Loyalty (with Raf) and +1 Faith from Ancient Walls.

Notes:
Should be compatible with most things, because the only Type which changes is the Ziggurat (which still does exist as an Improvement fwiw) and I've done standard support for alt leader mods and shiz

I understand that the version of StatusMessagePanel.lua imported by the mod to facilitate custom notifications is out of date; since I haven't been able to figure out a "fix" for this, I'd recommend removing the included version of said file and maybe also references to the file in the .modinfo

This mod causes reports to get stuck at the top of the screen for me. Any idea why or how?

If those mods break Holy Site replacements then that's their problem, gameplay mods which break modded civs are type disrespectful

This mod does not work with Religion Expanded and District Expansion Spirituality. Please fix it

The Ziggurat replacement mod for Holy Site could work for Religion Expanded and District Expansion Spirituality.

Really really good. I love this rework. The district is so much better than the improvement because , like you said, it's not a dime a dozen improvement anymore and actually feels like a sacred temple, and I love the synergy it has with Gilga's bonuses to heroes in H&L, and if you combine the ziggurat with the feed the world belief you can work those specialist slots for free putting you far ahead of everyone else.

I just want to reiterate how much fun I've had with this rework -- even more now that I've gotten to play it with the GS expansion. Thank you so, so much for updating it, and, please, consider this a no-pressure request to update the Ur-Nammu mod, which I loved beyond the telling of it. I can understand if you've moved on to other things -- it happens to everyone -- but, you know, if you're waiting for a show of interest in this cacophony of shouting and needy people... you've got one.
