A Feast for Odin w/ Norwegians - Scripted

Description
NOTE: GC2 has made a version of this mod that has many requested features:
- Solo mode
- Unmovable table (so as not to break scripting)
- Extra expansion content
- And more!

I highly recommend you check out his version at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2043148215. I'm going to keep this one up for people that have already subscribed, but you should really subscribe to that one. Thanks, GC2, for your hard work!

---------------------------------------------------------

This is an upgraded version of the fantastic A Feast for Odin mod made by 'error'. You can find his original mod here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=790490875.

I've added a few scripts to improve the experience on Tabletop Simulator:
- Simply click on an action space to automatically move your workers to the space (base game only for now, but Norwegians support is coming)
- Click "Return last worker" to return the last worker you played. Useful for failed hunting attempts and taking back a move.
- Click "Start Round" to return all workers to their pools and add a new worker from the banquet hall.
- Click "Add Mountain" to automatically draw a random mountain from the bag and fill it with resources.

I've also added a few new elements to the board:
- The Lofoten, Orkney, and Tierra del Fuego exploration tiles are now included.
- There is a scoring reference on the table to help with final scoring.
- The action spaces now display tooltips describing the action in more detail when you hover over them.
- The Norwegians expansion is now included

Great mod - thanks for the work.
Minor GUI issue with the mountain tiles. the script works but they don't load to the snappoints on the tile. I have to pick up each resource and drop in the correct location.

@MR81, solo game isn't implemented on this version, but user GC2 made a version based on this one that supports solo play and has some other extra features. I'd recommend subscribing to that version at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2043148215

how do i choose the number of players? specifically the solo game?

@bigbc79 Thanks for your reply!
I looked into "my" issues myself - in these social distancing times, time is more available.

I recon I can just browse the occupation card decks and delete/remove the cards myself before playing. Does not solve it for anyone else, though.

Figured out I can swap the herbs for a pig by pressing '2' (and back again with '1'). Feel a bit stupid not having figured that out earlier. The key was to swap the tile rather than flip it.

Finally, I 'discovered' the deck of Artisan huts in the top left corner of the table, and it can be shuffled prior to pressing start play - thus addressing the issue. Was confused as the remainder of the huts disappear after game starts (which is fine).

Again, thanks for your work in setting all this up for the rest of us!

@henrik.lawaetz Good point on the occupation cards! Somehow I never noticed that. I'll see if I can automate that if Norwegians is selected.

For the herbs, you have to change the state. That's a Tabletop Simulator limitation, unfortunately: irregularly shaped tiles have to have the same image on the front and back.

You should definitely be getting a random artisan tile. I'll look into it.

As for solo play, I know it's requested a lot, but it's also a lot more work than the rest of the requests. I do want to add it, though. Just need to have enough time to look.

Thanks for letting me know about the problems!

Occupation cards "banned":
(* = starting occupations)

Deck A:
Mandatory removals: 52, 163, 170
Optional removals: 1*, 8, 41, 56*, 96*, 99*, 134*, 135*, 158*, 174

Deck B:
Mandatory removals: 107*, 115, 189*
Optional removals: 21, 28*, 42, 46*, 97*, 101*, 104, 106*, 124*, 133*, 161*, 175*, 177*, 190*

Deck C
Mandatory removals: 125, 150
Optional removals: 45*, 138, 139*, 157*, 162*, 180*

Workaround: check with the list, draw another when you get a "banned" one.

Nice mod! Thanks. A few issues seen thus far:
1) The Herbs seem to flip to ...Herbs. Was expecting a Pig. (Workaround to place it on the stable).
2) Some professions are outlawed in Norwegians, but they are still in the deck (I think).
3) Each position always seem to get the same Artisan hut regardless of what I do. How do I shuffle that deck before starting the game?
4) Accidentally clicking "Reset" on one of the bags of tiles screws up the game - the bag is then empty, how do I refill it?
(And, yes, the lack of solo support that others are complaining about, but that is minor - playing solo might as well be done using the physical board game, IMHO)

I've uploaded a new mod to the Workshop based on this including promotional and fan content (as well as cleaning up a few minor complaints I had). I have no problems deleting it if bigbc79 adds the changes here.

how to play solo?
bigbc79  [author] 7 Dec, 2019 @ 9:54pm
@Totoro, good call. I never thought to do that, and I agree, it's really frustrating to accidentally delete the table or something silly like that. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion.
