[WOTC] Skirmisher Swords

Description
Commander. The skirmishers request access to your armory - specifically your ranger’s swords. There is much damage to be done to advent with these bladed weapons.

Introduces Swords for Ripjacks
The skirmishers are now able to combine two handed swords with their grapple gauntlet. All skirmisher abilities and animations will perform as expected alongside the ranger’s swords. The right handed wrist-blade is replaced while the left handed grapple gauntlet remains.

New Content
Conventional Sword and Traditional Sword
  • Available at the start of the game.
  • Has the same damage potential and abilities of the conventional ripjack.
Arc Blade and Experimental Blade
  • Available at the same time of building the ionic ripjack
  • Has the same damage potential and abilities of the ionic ripjack.
Fusion Blade and Advanced Blade
  • Available at the same time of building the fusion ripjack.
  • Has the same damage potential and abilities of the fusion ripjack.

Additional Details
This will seamlessly integrate into a current or new campaign.

Compatibility Note
  • If your character's right wrist is missing, change their right arm customization from 'Tactical' to 'Bare'.
  • Incompatible with Musashi’s Primary Secondaries Mod - The models and animations just look wonky, no issues otherwise.
  • Incompatible with Musashi’s Dual Wield Mod - The models and animations will just look wonky, no issues otherwise.

To circle back, the ability name that works for my modlist is 'SkirmisherMelee'. I'm not sure which mod is responsible for my Skirmishers having this as their slash ability, but it functions ingame and refunds the action point when that ability is added to the [Rend the Lost] mod.

I believe the Skirmisher Melee ability is called Reckoning. SkirmisherStrike is actually Marauder that provides two shots on a turn if I recall correctly.

Hello, thank you for the mod! It works great.

I'm trying to add this slash ability to the "Rend the Lost" mod's XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini, as that's where it designates which abilities to trigger the lost killshot action point refund. I've added the following line but it isn't triggering the action point refund ingame for my skirmisher who is using a sword via this mod. Does this mod add a custom ability? If so, what is the name, please?

Hm, no they're set as starting items so they should appear regardless of initial faction.

They showed up after I restarted my game. Maybe it was because I started with a Skirmisher ally?

No, this is a basic mod that replicates the 6 swords as Skirmisher Ripjacks - it will not effect any swords outside of those.
