Description
Automatic ViewDistance keeps Arma3 running smooth by dynamically adjusting the view distance.
It is customizable to suit everyone's needs and neatly implements into the Options Menu (see screenshots).

This AddOn suits all players and their individual play-styles, from CQC/CQB infantry combat in urban areas, vehicle/combined arms on land and sea (over or under), up to CAS and air to air combat high up in the clouds.

It isn't, no. You will need to set the minimum about 400 and set the fps to a manageable number like 40

I'm not sure if i'm using this mod correctly. For example, im playing this scenario that requires a uav that circles around a mission area around 1200 meters high. So I set automatic view distance on and set desired fps to match my monitors refresh rate (144) I then set my minimum and maximum to nothing, then slowly inch the minimum up until the npc's and building pop into view clearly while zoomed out. This is at around 1500 minimum and 2300 maximum. with this method im getting excellent frames, however im not sure if this is the correct use of this mod.

After the update, I felt a noticeable lag when using the telescope. I didn't feel any lag before.

The mod adjust viewDistance according to how much fps are over or under the set target (amongst other factors).
If you use an external fps limiter (or VSync), the target needs to be set to a lower value.

Doesn't work doesn't help.
Please provide as much information as possible when reporting any issues.

great mod but for some reason the view distance dosnt always update (if i set the mod fps limit -2fps from my indicated rivatunerfps) i have to change the mod fps limit for it to start working, (im using a frame limiter set to 82 and mod fps to 80) i have to set it first to 60 and then it starts working, if i dont do that the game uses the default view distance. when it works its awesome !
after some testing when i lowered the MOD fps to 75 it works as intended,
amazing mod!

tldr,
FPS limiter 82, mod FPS limit 80 = dosnt work
FPS limiter 82, mod FPS limit 75 = work

Would it be possible to add a option to adjust the ratio of object to terrain view distance? I tend to try and keep them the exact same so that the fog hides the fact that buildings / trees are disappearing. Otherwise very cool mod.

[ENG] The mod is very good and necessary in principle. But I don't have enough reaction speed, i.e. it wouldn't be bad if it were possible to adjust the speed of changing the viewing distance.
[RUS] Мод очень хороший и нужный в принципе. Но мне не хватает скорости реакции, т.е было бы не плохо если бы можно было бы регулировать скорость изменения дистанции обзора.
