Turtle Friendly Raids

Description
This mod prevents stock raids from spawning via drop pod, and disables stock sappers. It does not disable sieges.
All other stock raids will spawn by walking in from the map edge in one or more groups.

This mod is intended for players who'd like to turtle up in their base without getting their day ruined by raiders digging through the mountain-side or landing behind their defenses.

This mod does NOT:
  • Disable sieges.
  • Disable breach raids. (Add this mod to disable breach raids as well)
  • Disable mechanoid clusters. (You can use the Scenario Editor to disable them)
  • Disable infestations. (You can use the Scenario Editor to disable them)
  • Disable crashed ship parts. (You can use the Scenario Editor to disable them)
  • Disable mechanoid clusters. (You can use the Scenario Editor to disable them)
  • Disable resupply drop pods for sieges.
  • Prevent you from using drop pods to raid other factions.
  • Add turtles to the game, make stock tortoises immortal, cause raiders to ignore tortoises, etc.

You should be able to add and remove this mod from existing save games without any issues.
This mod has a risk of conflicting with other mods that add new raid types, but I'm not aware of any incompatibilities at the time of writing. (Please report any incompatibilities you find!)
This mod should be placed last (or close to last) in the mod load order, as other mods may overwrite the changes this mod makes.

KNOWN INCOMPATIBILITIES:
Rim War

HOW TO GET SUPPORT:
Create a discussion thread or leave a comment explaining the issue you are having.
If you are using other mods or are playing on an unusual map that might be related to the problem, mod names and screenshot links would be appreciated.
I would prefer it if you created a discussion thread, but I will always do my best to respond to comments as well.

How the mod works:
The mod uses XML patching to disable stock drop pod arrive modes (which might be used by modded raids), and to disable the stock sapper raids and mechanoid sieges.
  • The following "arriveMode"s are disabled for all "RaidStrategyDef"s:
    • EdgeDrop
    • CenterDrop
    • RandomDrop
    • EdgeDropGroups
  • The "selectionWeightPerPointsCurve"s for RaidStrategyDef[defName = "ImmediateAttackSappers"] and RaidStrategyDef[@Name = "BreachingBase"] are zeroed, removing those raid types from the selection pool entirely.
This should be compatible with other mods that add new raid types, so long as the added raid type has arrive modes other than the four modes listed above. If a mod adds new drop pod arrival modes or new sapper raids, this mod will not disable those.

@Dolly-Chan I eventually found out that you can disable drop pod raids in RimWar's mod options, so we don't need to use both.

@Magnus I just started a new game with Rim War and the updated version of this with the same name I believe and it also says Rim War incompatible. Anyways, I got a drop pod raid last night and that sucked. So drop pod raids still happen. I am going to test later to see if loading the turtle mod after Rim War has any change.

Hello. Can someone tell me what are the possible consequences of the Rim War incompatibility? Will it simply not work, screw the save, or just some minor problems? Thanks.

This mod appears to still work. Should just update the version number to 1.4, I don't think it needs any other changes as far as I can tell.
