NOTE = I update sometimes so if you edit the mod yourself, Copy it and save it in another folder so I dont override and delete personal edits. Then you can drag / drop it back into Data folder after.

Hey you, Samurai... yes you there, reading this. Tired of your heroes looking average? Do you want them to appear as the heroes of legend that they TRULY ARE?!?!... Ever wanted sick, amazingly epic variation in unit design? Have you dreamt of gempei models added for Sengoku Jidai campaign? Or perhaps you wanted insane helmets, crests, shoulders, elegant golden armor pieces and the removal of meh looking stuff that only a peasant would use?

Then this... is your mod. My fellow Samurai, THIS MOD... will turn your heroes into TRUE HEROES OF LEGEND. The mightiest, most fiersome, ferocious and intimidating looking samurai that you've ever seen. From grand helmets, outstanding crests, superb armors and legendary boots and gloves! Its all here.

The best I, in my own opinion, found to be the grandest of designs.
On top of elite units having gotten a serious make-over using Avatar Campaign armor sets, modded custom designs and gempei campaign armors, I've also added a few things to baseline Onna Bushi. Gave them a nice paintjob AND I added 2 brand new faces to the unit. One being the Geisha head, and the other being the female advisor head.

Gotta love that variety. Beautiful faces for deadly warriors! As a spartan soldier would have it. Stylish and warlike at the same time!

This reskin touches upon the design from head to toe of every single hero unit in the game except Ikko Ikki's monk hero. It also has an impact on general's bodyguards = NOT the general officer though. And of course, the Onna Bugeisha as mentioned above.
There is a bit of variation between each of these heroes too in terms of helmet crests & helmet designs and a lot more. I also added some back variation to the general. So you got the Horo, and some other cool things to make your general stand out aside from the armors.

I left normal samurai units alone on Land. So that your elite units will distinguish themselves VERY visibly. And be visually a force to be reckoned with, as they are physically :)

This is a passion project of mine. Wanted these changes for a long time and just recently realized how variation mesh editing works.

And I just had to share my edits.

However. I'd never have been able to do this without the following people mentioned both directly and indirectly.
First of all Makuyi's mod that started my understanding. Thanks a lot to you for creating the fantastic archers here. As well as the cherryblossoms that crashed me system once. Haha!

Kaplan [MA] who created the Legendary Samurai mod. Thank you, man. For letting me build on your mod here and furthermore, thanks for inspiring me to learn more about modding so I'd get around to make this project. Your mod's framework set of off to a fantastic start. Thank you, man.

DPFLH for making custom armor pieces that are found in his mods and Weapon. I recommend that mod highly.

The_Yogi's (Onna Bushi Heroine mod) face edits to Onna Bushi which I borrowed. Super work !

Bullgod for his models. Finally got my permission. Very awesome! Thank you for all your hard work and amazing designs which I used a tiny bit of to enable more variation.

An armor update = Maede Toshie HUGE golden helmet has been added back to Great Guard. Its the only unit in the game with it + more. If you absolutely hate it like some may for color reasons, scroll to the bottom of this description and I've made a tutorial on how to remove it. Its super easy. Its name is = Maede Toshie Helmet. Rest is explained in tutorial. Just in case.


Now. Few details.

Nr 1: Always run this mod FIRST before any other graphical overhaul mods you might have. You can do this via a mod-manager or simply use the default mod manager from CA, tick the mod box, run game. Then quit and enable the other mods.

Nr 2: If you are unhappy with my designs or such, dont worry. I will include a tutorial sometime here where I describe exactly what you gotta do to EASILY mod this pack.file and manually edit out the stuff you dislike.

Nr 3: I hope to get in touch with Bullgod soon. But if I never do, I'll upload a version of Takeda Shingen, using his models to finally put a mask on him.

Something I've dreamt of for years but have never been able to do, and nobody have done it publically.
I hope I can get his permission as requested but he has abandoned his work soon 3 years ago and I dont know the status of his work overall anymore.

Time shall tell and lets hope :)

This mod is a combination of the efforts of others. I'm merely a creative editor that finally got some dreams come true.
Credit goes to us all. But primarily you guys. Thanks for helping me with the framework, the inspiration and fantastic original designs.

Nr 1: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?540561-Daimyos-amp-Generals-MOD-(updated-feb-26-2016-reupload) By Bullgod. His amazing mod turning generals into legendary figures visually as they are historically.

Nr 2: My fixed Archers of the Wind mod made by Makuyi. It's a truly wonderful unit and if you're an onna bushi lover like myself, you'll enjoy it. I got an update coming to that mod soon. Fixing a few things and possibly adding variation.

Nr 3: The Legendary Samurai Mod by Kaplan [MA]. -- You can totally use both my mod here as well as his because this mod only affects Elite units.
So, if you download his, but load mine first. And then his afterwards, you'll see all units in game have their textures altered to be more armored and such. Whilst my elite edits here remaining intact.
Just make sure that my mod loads 1st :)

Nr 4: Shogun Ashikaga mod. -- https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=160740527&searchtext=shogun+ashikaga -- Why? because its models are damn epic and I love to play around with it. But hey, your call :)

Nr 5: The Onna Bushi mods which you can easily find on workshop. I use Onna Bushi Katana and the Onna Pack mod that adds in onna bushi matchlock, archers etc. However take note. The collection mod wont read my changes. For that to happen you gotta edit a few things within that pack.file which I'll explain at a later date in a tutorial. Simple stuff :)

Nr 6: Whatever the hell you want that doesn't overwrite hero units and generals bodyguard + Onna Bushi. :)
