PERMANENTLY BROKEN -- Cows! (Animated and Interactive)

Description
The devs have fundamentally changed how bot AI works. In order to make new animals work, you need to know C#. I don't have the time to learn yet another thing from scratch, so sadly my animated animals are dead.

If anyone wants my Blender files I used for these, let me know and I will gladly share.

Animated, living cows. Also, see my Sheep!

Hi all! I am extremely excited and proud to bring this mod out: cows! Thanks to much help and patience from Equinox, I have learned how to rig, weight, and animate new creatures, and give them life in M.E. The cows are the first of hopefully many new creatures to come.

These cows spawn into the world randomly and naturally, just like deer. They are tame, and you can walk right up to them. If you choose, you can kill them and collect their meat and leather easily. (Takes 3 crossbow shots or equivalent melee.) But, you can also get milk from them!

To get milk:
1) Create a Cow Care Package in your personal inventory from pumpkins, cabbage, and herbs.
2) Find a cow and press your action key (usually F) on the cow.
3) Add the Cow Care Package to their inventory. And then wait.
4) Every 60 seconds, the cow will produce 1 pail of raw milk. Up to 4 pails total.

The raw milk doesn't have any major use yet. This mod is designed to be a dependency for future mods making cheese, butter, cream, paint bases, even strong milk-based glue. Many possibilities!

Raw milk & the Cow Care Packages can be placed on tables or shelves.

More animals to come, as soon as I can figure out sensible AI for them, like wild boars, sheep for wool, and yes, maybe even horses??

KNOWN ISSUES:
(Note: all of these come from the game's limited AI.)

1) Cows don't follow you. I tried, but they glitch, and also lose all their random wild behaviors.
2) Cows may walk funny, especially on hills. (Deer do too, they're just usually harder to see.)
3) Cows don't run away if injured; not possible yet with the game's AI.
4) Cows sometimes "bark" like deer. Hardcoded in vanilla code & can't be changed. For reasons.

****** MODDER NOTE ******
I saved variations of the AIBehavior in this mod. If you go to Data/AICows/ you will see "AIBehavior-FollowsNoFrolic.ORIG" and "EQUINOX.ORIG" -- swap either of these files out for the "AIBehavior.sbc" and you can see the different ways that a cow can behave.

If you know C++ (and you should), then c# is about 4 hours to learn the changes in syntax and limitations.

Hey, sorry for not getting back sooner. Glad I put the files in there -- everything's gone from my computer now, sadly. Good luck!

Unfortunately Gophers (or only1aster as his comments below) port to space engineers is now gone but I would like to recreate it. does your offer of blender files for your animals still stand?

No, sadly, that's all gone.

I don't suppose you still have the tool for creating the behavior files? SE still used this logic but lacks any tools to modify it.

In theory maybe — the sizes would probably be transferable. But I’ve forgotten about 80% of what I learned in making the cow & sheep. And I can’t load ME up well on my computer anymore since 0.7. So I’m sadly out of the animal-making business for now :(
