Supernovae are among the most energetic events known to exist. This mod adds them to the Stellaris galaxy, so you can marvel at the destructive nature of the universe from a safe distance (or not).

When creating a new empire, you can choose to start in a star system that will go supernova in ten, thirty, fifty, or eighty years, with special events accompanying each stage of your sun's death throes. This is not an origin; you have to use the solar system option to get it. There are also three unique systems seeded across the galaxy which will go supernova at various points in the game, each of which can develop in different ways...

Should be compatible with all mods. Let me know if you find any bugs.

No I know it was this mod because I did elimination testing identifying several mods with the issue including this one.

C'mon, don't report bugs unless you are quite sure which mod they come from. Lots of updated mods will have that notification window spam issue.

No idea. 4.0 broke a lot of mods and several mods give me the popup when they didn't in 3.*

@Funnel Might have a mod conflict because I was just able to spawn an empire with it and select the length of time. Picked 10 years, rushed the game along for 10 years and star went Supernova.

Mod is unplayable in the new version due to causing empty notification spam when starting a save :(

Can we change the amount of supernovae in the galaxy somehow. Like a slider that goes from 0-10 supernovae before the start of the game.

Oh my this is going to be fun! I really have been itching to try this mod but I play Humans pretty much exclusively and usually use Real Space. I did a little editing and bingo bongo, I've got Sol in the small Sol sector that is close to going boom. To make it more fun, I've also set the origin to Doomsday!
