C'mon, don't report bugs unless you are quite sure which mod they come from. Lots of updated mods will have that notification window spam issue.

No idea. 4.0 broke a lot of mods and several mods give me the popup when they didn't in 3.*

@Funnel Might have a mod conflict because I was just able to spawn an empire with it and select the length of time. Picked 10 years, rushed the game along for 10 years and star went Supernova.

Mod is unplayable in the new version due to causing empty notification spam when starting a save :(

Can we change the amount of supernovae in the galaxy somehow. Like a slider that goes from 0-10 supernovae before the start of the game.

Oh my this is going to be fun! I really have been itching to try this mod but I play Humans pretty much exclusively and usually use Real Space. I did a little editing and bingo bongo, I've got Sol in the small Sol sector that is close to going boom. To make it more fun, I've also set the origin to Doomsday!

@The Noob Unfortunately the game no longer supports synced localisation, so the only way to keep the english text across all languages is to place the text directly into the event, which may break a lot of it. I'll keep looking into it but no promises. (Also, sorry for responding so late!)

@RustyKn1ght Thanks for the feedback, I'll look at tweaking the spawn rates and maybe exclude the Fallen Empires' capital systems. And yeah, the supernovae are a timed event that can only be changed through save file editing.

Suggestion: maybe in the future, this mod could exclude solar systems that belong to the fallen empires from being targets of supernovae.

It's kinda hilarious in a way, but also kinda silly that a civilization as advanced as "keepers of knowledge" would just stand doing nothing and await s to be immolated by their exploding star. I could buy that if they were the ancient caretakers, since they barely function and maybe holy guardians who'd see that as will of their cosmic deity, but it's really weird to think that fanatic materialists would just sit there and take it.

And console commands can't overide the supenovae, as far as I know. I tried using "effect remove_modifier"-command and while it did remove the supernova modifier, the star blew up anyway at the date it was said to go. ClearFlag command also doesn't seem to work.

I play with the language option in Portuguese and, because of that, I don't see any text of this mod, not even in English. Instead of the text, they show the name of the text file.
Sadly, the same goes for his other mods, such as Colonizable Jovians, Capture Ships, Subterranean Planets and Better Terraforming Candidates.
I have several other mods that do not support the Portuguese language, but show the text in English.
Is there any way for this mod to do the same, without having to change the language option to English?

@lastofthelight It replaces the scripted effect "spawn_sun_temperature_effect", but that's very niche and purely cosmetic anyway so I wouldn't worry about incompatibility.

Can we potentially get compatibility with Real Space - New Frontiers? It allows for an ark evacuation of your home planet after you discover a world-ending event. Basically, the events look for solar_system = { has_star_flag = star_disaster } to allow for ark construction. As an added bonus, it also looks for has_modifier = secret_disaster to allow for the government classifying info. Honestly this and that mod should work spectacularly together and they would if we could at least get the star_disaster flag added.

Heya, I've just recently come across a system that's set to Supernova, and I keep getting the popup for it about every month in-game. Like, the exact same popup, not different ones. It started immediately after discovery and has been going on for ~2 years.

I'm having the same trouble Star had. I discovered the system in late game so the lag is super terrible. I'm using those same mods and so many more.

@JenkoRun I couldn't reproduce the former issue, but I've made some tweaks so hopefully it won't happen again. As for the latter issue, I can't imagine anything in my mod causing the problem, the issue might be on Acot's end or another mod. While this mod does have some monthly events, there's nothing that kicks in on the final month before the supernova.
