Small update. You can now travel between the main campaign and the mod freely without breaking either. A couple of small tweaks and balances.

Small code adjustment for random battles. Works now. Hopefully everything else does too.

Some coding adjustments and visual adjustments. As always please report bugs in the forum. There are some things that are beyond my control so make sure you're subbed to all required mods and if you're playing with others, they need to match with your mod subscriptions. Otherwise, let me know if something acts funny or doesn't quite work.

As my modding journey continues, I have decided that this version is as complete as it will get. I will give it minimum attention unless massive errors are reported. I am currently working on a completely different adventure inspired by Demons Souls and Bloodborne. Sinful Fire has similar leveling mechanics as well as grueling boss fights.

Well, I have adjusted how random battles take place INSIDE the pyramid. You SHOULD be able to actually trigger some battles to help you level up for the final boss area. There are tons of small changes in scripting as well.

With that being said. I have released an Adventure Hub (can be found here -> https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2626509405 ) that will allow players to travel to my mod FROM THE MAIN GAME without having to go through character creation again. It will also clone your character (and party) as it is. The purpose for that is, not to break your experience. You don't want to go through Fort Joy with a level 10 character after completing my adventure, do you? It's up to you, really. But you have the option to take your clone on the adventure, or your original character.

This hub serves to connect other adventures as well. To connect TO the hub, you will need this addon (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2625127671). they're both small but necessary. The hub is for other modders to connect their adventures via small addon.

After the play test I recognized some really wonky behavior. Fixed some bugs here and there, specifically party members not being recognized as party members. Some NPC's didn't have abilities they were supposed to have, thats fixed too.

Next update will tackle the recruitable NPC's having preset attribute array.

7/16/21

I finally did a full play through and made some tweaks. There were some battles that weren't activating correctly. The final boss area is now much more manageable and most likely beatable on any difficulty level. I had one random encounter while inside the pyramid and that made me sad. So I ramped up the interval so maybe you'll get to level up prior to fighting at the end and not get blown to pieces. It was very bittersweet to start as a level 1 character and come back to town as a level 9 character. Now you'll be ready to tackle on some of the secret stuff.

If you're still subscribed to the depreciated mod, do yourself a favor and unsub from that one and sub to this one. It will absolutely not be updated any longer due to the engine update. If you want the most current working version, this is the mod to have.

Tuvis. I think you can lockpick it. But in the case you can´t, the key for the library is in the Arborean Elves Section. to the south. It´s placed in some kind of cirlce/altar that makes you bleed if you step on it.

Tuvis. It´s in the library. Northern part of the library. Where you meet one Karavakos splinters (after you defeat the Eaters of Knowldge). It´s labelled as Mystery Key.

I am no youtuber, so I don´t really stream or nothing of the sort. But soon I will start a new DOS2 playthrough ( I love the game so much) and I will definitely play the Pyramid of Shadows as post campaing content (It has become a MUST in my playthroughs) and I will try to record it and then send you a link (at least once I get into the pyramid). But I warn you, I have no editing skills.

I hope that maybe one day you can make a version that just adds the DOS2´s music, especially for the battles, tho I understand it has been a very long time since you worked on the mod and you have moved to something else.

In any case, I continue enjoying every playthrough of Pyramid of Shadows. Probably the only mod that works really well with the main campaign as post content. So thank you very much for making this awesome mod.

Wow, I didn´t notice you replied. Thank you. And sorry for replaying late.

Unfortunately even the final boss theme doesn´t work properly, if you place the cursor away from Karavakos the music just fades away and you end with no music at all. The same happens with every other custom music theme.

It was kind of immersion breaking so I ended deleting the Custom music mod and just play the DOS2 original music themes by using youtube in the background lol. Listening the theme "Embrace the deathfog" is very fitting while travelling in the pyramid or listening to the "Battle for Divinity during the final battle :steamhappy:

OK. I am completely lost. I have explored the entire map and there ain't no pyramid. I've done the staff quest but not any others. What am I missing? Is there more?

@Seven The staff quest is pretty short. It ends there. There are little to-do's here and there and all around and I'm not even sure if they work properly anymore. I have stopped working on it for over a year I'd say and have moved on to making an actual game (which is also taking a long time).

I may boot up the engine one of these days and adjust a few things (like the nights) but I'm afraid it would take me away from my project. So I try to stay focused on that.

The only custom song that really matters to me that works is the end boss battle theme. It all leads up to that.

I am thrilled beyond that you've cleared it so many times! I would love to see either a stream or a recording of the whole thing being cleared if you have the time.

I love the mod, I have cleared it 3 times already, and the best part is that I can use it as post-end content from the main campaign thanks to the adventure hub. The content of the pyramid is good. The only problem that I found is the custom music doesn´t work properly, and the only nitpick I have is the day-night mechanic (during night you cannot see anything, and as I am visually weak it really is problematic for me to navigate like that).

However, is it possible that you add here a guide for the missions that exist OUTSIDE the pyramid? I would like to explore all the content but I don´t really know if I have seen it all.

For instance, the mission about the staff that you steal from the druid? What happens after that? I return to the village and find the hooded guy in an "unfortunate" condition. Does it end there?

Anyway. Overall, the mod is great, so good job.
