Description
Men-at-Arms (Longbow)
"Men-at-arms trained with longbows are extremely deadly if trained properly, but most lords are willfully ignorant of this."

The chivalrous, melee-driven knights and lords of the realm have little concern for the peasants, and many consider them inferior to cattle. However, some lords who take their duty as a general more seriously can at least admire the effect a large horde of filthy peasants can have on the outcome of the battle. It is by the law of the land that nobles can turn peasants into Men-at-Arms at will, and do so to improve the troop's courage, equipment, training and organization. However, because the job of training them has to be done by the nobility themselves, they rarely equip them or train them in the art of archery as it is seen as beneath them.

Mod Features:
• Men-at-arms stat line unit but armed with bows!
• Faster firing rate with long range, they are excellent at dealing damage from afar.
• Much better than peasant bowmen in melee, but that's not saying much.


Update 1
• Upkeep increased.
• Unit card updated.
• Ap reduced to 3, Base damage increased to 17. Reload time slightly increased.

I really love this mod but is it possible to make a version for the archer spikes mod?

Disregard that, I had a incompatible mod that was causing the longbows from not showing in infrastructure landed estate building. :steamfacepalm: Anyway, thanks for letting me know.

Its a reasonable request but I didnt make a pox variant because I tend to not like making units that invalidate CA's units too much.

So while playing i noticed that there isnt any variant for pox longbows and after looking i couldn't find any mod to add them. Any chance of me missing it or it being added in the future since i dont really use the archers for dmg but to apply debuffs to allow my frontline to surive longer.
