Basic Resource Job Buildings - 2.2

Description
This mod adds two additional buildings for any planet but slave and resort worlds. These buildings are repeatable structures that add +2 job slots for minerals and power respectively.

The same concept as hydroponic farms, these let you better fill out the available slots on a dedicated mining or energy world, something I think feels kind of lacking currently as I don't think there should ever be a case where you don't use the full pops/building capacity of a planet without good reason.

Mineral Fabricator (300 Minerals, 4 Energy Upkeep)
+2 Mineral Jobs

Power Reclamation Facility (300 Minerals, 4 Mineral Upkeep)
+2 Energy Jobs

Both buildings have a static upkeep of 4 of the opposite material, so they don't feel too out of line with the "tradeoff" style of 2.2's economy but without restricting you from actually using them for what they were designed. They simply let you scale those resource worlds a bit better over the long term, giving you more room to grow and expand your economy.

Both buildings are researched with their associated production buff building, the mineral purification or energy hub techs, for simplicity.

Should work with most other mods as both assets are custom.

no, just adds the 2 buildings. the new patch does that too but only for robots

Did this mod add a districts bonus for the Mineral Purification Plant at one point?

theres a folder in the main data that has all the icons, you just gotta copy and rename, preferably ones not already in use since they get confusing. There are several leftover mine and power plant icons though

its a seperate folder. it should be in the mod directory, you name the .tgas or .dds or whatever they are the same as the building name.

If you allow it, i would be willing to update and expand the mod myself? since i also think that those mods are way too broken for the game as it is.

i dont really enjoy 2.2 as it is set up so I don't think ill be expanding the mod, if you look on most popular there is a verson of this mod without the upkeep (i think them being mostly free is bad for how 2.2 works but thats not my choice), it also has an upgraded version submod

would it be possible to add upgrades to these buildings that have strategic resource upkeeps?
