Matter Replicators Reborn

Description
Updated for 2.6.2

This is my mod that re-adds the removed Replicators from a previous version of Stellaris.

Adds the Resource Replicator building.
In this version the building produces 40 Minerals a month at the upkeep of 50 energy. The building also creates Replication Engineer jobs that consume popcorn (food) to study the strange scientific marvel that is resource replication.

Hey there, I previously set this on the wayside for a while because I have been extremely busy with progressing my career. I'll work on getting an update out in the next month and I also have plans for a new mod.

Thank you. You are awesome.

Alright I have created the alternate version, link is in the mod description. I doubled the original upkeep making it 100 since the effective "mineral" output was actually doubled based on how many minerals it takes to make consumer goods and alloys. I have already tested it and it works as it should.

I would very much like that yes. IMO that is how matter generation should be. You don't see them replicating concrete or raw metals in ST and then making what they need out of them. Anything from a block of gold to a cup of coffee to a ship part can be replicated if you have the energy. Maybe an 80 energy cost?

If you would like I could make a second mod with that option. I would need to increase the power costs though to make it not be too op.

Since this is Star Trek-style matter generation we're talking about, would it be possible to make the matter generator cost 60 energy in exchange for 20 Minerals, 20 Consumer Goods, and 20 Alloys? I basically want to be able to replicate the parts for ships on the home world and then transport them to the shipyards in-system for assembly. I was hoping a mod that brought back matter generation would let me skip out on having to build lots of Forge Worlds.

I can confirm 2.2.2 works as intended.

I do not forsee any issues with 2.2.2 as this is a fairly simple mod that only adds three items to the game: the technology, building, and job. I will double check once 2.2.2 is officially released but I am 99% sure there will be no problem.

Will it work with 2.2.2? In theory it should, but I'd prefer to avoid all possible problems with this.
