Description
A simple mod that gives a 10x health multiplier to many of the defensive structures.

In addition, this mod also increases the materials required to build defensive structures by 10x.

I know it's been 3 years or so since I put this mod up, but I went ahead and added to the description that it also increases the build materials by 10x as well. This was my one and only mod for Kenshi so I wasn't too sure how it all worked, and the 10x material requirement was an unintentional byproduct! Glad some of y'all enjoy it!

I agree that this is well balanced, and I really like it. Your walls and gates are more realistically strong against assault with hand weapons (gates can be hacked through, but it takes some time instead of getting torn through like wet paper) but the tradeoff is that it takes more time and materials to build them. This makes your walls and gates an investment, and laying down a solid perimeter not only feels like an accomplishment, but is now a more strategic decision in whether you want to build them sooner or use the resources for other parts of your base first.

tl;dr - great mod, use it. Well balanced. :Honored:

I've been using it for some time now, and I really like it. In terms of effect, ten times means gates can hold long enough, but not so long they can be ignored. I always have a team fixing them while the archers rain down death. Walls seem pretty much impervious, which is correct.

I wasn't sure if I'd like the extra build costs, but I do. Building a fortress is a big deal, and feels satisfying when complete. I'm making my second base and using the large town buildings to form part of the walls. The overall effect is excellent.

This multiples all the build materials by 10 due to how Kenshi uses that to decide the hitpoints. So it does what it says but has the side effect of needing hundreds more build materials and much longer build times.

So this can be used if you already have a base created but will then still need to repair everything. Good training for engineer skill but can be frustrating when first starting a base. I would instead suggest similar mods that increase just the gate hitpoints in order to avoid these issues.
