Description
The Emerson Drilling rig is a slow but steady platform for deep core drilling.

Survival ready, but only for Earth like planets as there's no ventilation. There is conveyor system from drill to cargohold!

To start it all, in the control room there are 2 buttons bound, 1 for drill start, and other for Timer Down. Punch the timer down ONCE, not twice. Only ONCE! Don't touch it afterwards or it will mess up the cycle.

Features loading deck, "the lumber yard". Generator housing for power production. Crew building with various things like control room and medical.

The automation is SLOW, but any faster and I found out that drill bits tend to disintegrate from minor wear and tear after 600m mark, this pace is capable of reaching unlimited depths and in my tests I left it running for an hour + and it ran stable and deep. Eventually broke down after a few kilometers, not due to drill bit, but for some odd glitch which stopped the timers midway, suspect autosave messing it.

No longer works, after about 150M it does not drill/go down anymore.

you would have to redo all the timer block block links for pistons and the offgrid projectors; which would require you to blueprint the tube segment separately.

I wonder if it will work in survival or not. If not what parts are missing to bring it to work?

anything with multiple grids is by definition not perfectly survival ready - I believe the implication is that the structure allows one to play in survival on the structure (access to important components to repair without needing to grind down other blocks in the way) without any issues once it is pasted in.

How is it survival ready...I blueprints can only support one grid so it breaks the top part

Has anyone tested this in MP. I've built a few from BP with no luck of them working. Even had the authors come on the server and they couldn't get it to work.

An interesting machine would be useful but here’s an idea as it drills down make it so the main drill can be deconstructed then rebuilt with a different head to accommodate outer circular drilling that way with the shaft now it can be expanded outwards. Maybe also include a builder and holo block to construct a flat pad at the bottom of the shaft to build an elevator in the center, I can see many of potentials here maybe even a facility that can drill a hole large enough for a ship to fly straight through a planets core grav field after all intergalactic hyper express ways need to be built the galaxy always needs more bypasses XD
