Karak Eight Peaks: Gold & Goats - Resource Expansion Project (W&P Update)

Description
(No longer being updated)

IMPORTANT:
You can find an updated version of the combine mod here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1956272268
I do not have plans to update this further, but will probably add it to Warhammer 3 upon release. This mod is stable and should not need further updating. If the launcher says the mod is outdated, that does not mean it will not work.

Description:
Gold & Goats

"In pride we built Eight Peaks, at the zenith of our ancient power. It was a wonder to the world; more beautiful than even Everpeak, open to the sky. A sign of our wealth and power, strong beyond the measure of Dwarf, Elf, or Men."

This mod rights a great wrong in the book of grudges. Instead of simply removing goats as a resource, gold has been added. With no startpos changes, you can now have both goats and gold in Karak Eight Peaks.

Enjoy!

This only edits K8Ps. If you are looking for the all-in-one mod, that can be found here.

Separate downloads for other settlements can also be found on the main page, including:

Skavenblight - Added flesh farms (pastures for other races)
Marienburg - Added gold and kept spice
Karak Eight Peaks - Added gold and kept goats as they were, so you can have both.
Fyrus - Added wine.
Karak Kadrin - Added gems and iron.
Pfeildorf - Added wood and pastures. It already has a unique wine building too.

This mod does not edit Startpos, so can be used with other mods that do edit that. One that I recommend provides additional building slots and can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1553866321

I'm open to suggestions, but will probably start with major settlements. In order to avoid Startpos edits, it is a requirement that settlements I add resources to are unique. (Altdorf, Karak Eight Peaks, Hexoatl, etc.)

Enjoy!

FAQ

Q: Is this compatible with ...
A: Probably. This adds files rather than changing them and should be compatible with just about everything. I use over 40 mods myself and this works. Let me know if you discover a specific conflict and I'll see what I can do.

Q: If the settlement has 2 resources, why can I only see one icon?
A: Without editing the actual User Interface, that isn't something I can fix. You'll still see both building chains, but the settlement name will display whatever the first resource in the file is.

Q: It's not working!
A: Disable your other mods and run just this one, then enable your other mods one by one until you find the conflict. Let me know what that is and I'll look into it.

Q: Can you add a resource to ...?
A: I'm open to suggestions! I'd like resources I add to be justifiable through lore or common sense. For example, it makes sense that Karak Eight Peaks would have gold or diamonds, and I can't fathom why CA chose goats instead. Now it has both.

Q: "Skavenblight is great-best! Give it diamond-gems and gold yes-yes!"
A: I smell a rat...

There isn't anything to update in the files. This still works. :)

Thanks a lot dude. I've found it and installed. With mod manager is possible to enable only war for k8p

Oh okay. That was a mod called "Old vs New - War for Karak Eight Peaks" by shaky_rivers. I can't find it on the workshop anymore. It looks like shaky_rivers still has OvN mods, but you might need to download a compilation.

That: Karak Eight Peaks is considered a unique settlement! HOW? ;D

:) in your screenshot we can see a Karak 8 Peaks really loreful: there are a Citadel, an Underdeep, a Lower Holds and Upper Halls. Four locations that made it really loreful. Mine is composed by a single capital named KArak Eight Peaks and 3 other minor settlement. Which mod you use?

@Sciarra di Tilea - Can you rephrase the question? I don't understand, but would like to.

Hi The Hammer: let me know a thing: why you have a so loreful K8P with levels? I have just one capital with more 3 minor settlements..

It looks like this is due to the Wood Elf outpost mechanic, which superseded my own changes. It's a completely different part of the data table than what my mod touches. What I can try is adding the wood elf gold mine building chain to Karak Eight Peaks. I did something similar in another mod to customize Tomb Kings resource buildings. If that doesn't work then I'll just create a separate table for wood elves and merge it with this mod. I can start experimenting with it Sunday or Monday.

Doesnt contain both resource building chains for wood elves, or did not when I checked around christmas.
