[WOTC] Grenade Slot Utility Items

Description
Allows equipping non-grenade items into the grenade-only slot. Only Battle Scanners and Mimic Beacons are allowed by default, but more items can be allowed via config.

Items in the grenade slot may be affected by some abilities that increase grenades' carrying capacity.

This mod does not allow launching the items with a Grenade Launcher, in case you were wondering.

CONFIGURATION

The list of allowed items can be configured in:
..\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1628713316\Config\XComGame.ini

COMPATIBILITY

No known compatibility issues, but some abilities that interact with items in the grenade-only slot may have issues with non-grenade items in the grenade-only slot.

Safe to add or remove mid-campaign.

sorry for second comment, but i forgot to add that its the slots in yellow that cannot be accessed, wether directly when choosing ur squad 5 missions or through the soldier menu loadout

there is a compatibility issue with true primary secondaries and classes like stormbringer and also torque cannot use her maw implant slot. So in LWOTC you cant add a pistol to any classes that can have one and all modded classes become bugged the moment a slot isnt like in vannilla

This method should be less invasive and less conflict-prone, but let me know if anything looks weird.

I have reworked the mod, Highlander is now required. The mod no longer changes anything about the items, and instead relies on Highlander to allow equipping them into the grenade slot. More items can be allowed via config.

Yeah, I've had it a lot. Could be a conflict with another mod, but I dunno.

Weird, I specifically took steps to avoid that. Does this problem persist through several tactical missions?

One thing that kinda irks me about this mod is that it seems to cause the tooltips on Battle Scanners and Mimic Beacons to screw up mid-tactical. They just show "Missing 'LocHelpText' from ability template" when you select them.

Doesn't affect what they do, but it's annoying.

What about Celatid mod? There is a Celatid Turret which is throwable just like grenades are. Can it be apllied too pls?

i wish you could have an option to increase grenade capacity for battle scanners. i searched everywhere and still i can't find it anywhere in the ini files.
